Personally I find this article refreshing as it’s closer to the truth than some of the statistics coming out of the so called advance countries.

Yes there is very high unemployment in Serbia, but the surrounding countries are no better – look at Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, Croatia, Slovenia, BiH, Montenegro, Macedonia and so on. Do a little scratching on the surface and you will find all are hovering around the same percentage.

Why doesn’t the current Serbian Government do something? In order to do anything it has to restructure on a massive scale that would cause even greater hardship than we see today. Yes it would set Serbia on the right path for the future, but the social impact would be terrible.

So what you have is inefficient industries continued being propped up by successive governments, over employment all levels of government and a lack of will by governments to modernise the system. To be fair-minded it has to be said that past administrations did not have the will or resources to carry out changes either.

This is what you get when you spend half your energy for 12 years crying about Kosovo.

If Serbia has a 22% unemployment rate then Kosovo is about 80% to 85%. Wait till summer when the economic hardship bites even further and see how the unrest increases. But Thaci will use the police to keep them under control as requested by Washington.

#1: Taiwan does cry for the rest of China since 1949, that is 63 years and not 12.
#2: Taiwan is much smaller compared to the rest of China than Serbia without Kosovo compared to Kosovo
#3: China (Mainland) is in the same boat except the size goes the other way

However, all this went horribly wrong and the economy was down the toilet during the time there was no R&D and old-style economy was prevalent on both Taiwan and the rest of China.

It's funny how when Kosovo comes up, everyone and their mother has some opinion to share (Pro-Albo or Pro-Serb) BUT when unemployment numbers which clearly indicate a big problem in the overall Serbian economy, no one has time to type a single word about. 23% IS ABYSMAL! This govt is completely useless, why doesn't belgrade protest this for God's sake. This is insanity, there is no war and no sanctions...what is going over there?!!

Just adds to the reasons why Tadic and his fools are not fit to run Serbia. I would like to see the pro-EU Tadic loving idiots try and explain this one.
