"Protest was demonstration exercise for north"

Goran Bogdanović has voiced concern that Self-Determination Movement protests were "but a demonstration exercise for violence, which could repeat in the north".

I've never seen Peja beer anywhere in Serbia. too bad. Definitely the best beer from the balkans I've tried.
(Danilo, 17 January 2012 14:16)

Albanians already have a positive trade balance with the rest of the world: they do export unrest, terrorist acts, crime and prostitution more than what they import.

Willi Pfaff,

Why did Thaci send his police to the Kosovo=central Serbia border in the first place? I guess just to raise tentions? Why was he supported by KFOR?

Couldn't KFOR just told him to stay where he was and be happy with what he already had?

All they want is STRICT RECIPROCITY relationships with Serbia. Is that hard to understand?
(EA, 16 January 2012 12:57)

A virtual example of RECIPROCITY: a alot of Albanians could be prosecuted. killed, bitten, forced to leave in central Serbia without any serious investigation whatsoever on the crimes.

Goran B. is correct in his assessment regarding political stability. This was an excellent opportunity for Kosovo's institution to portray the message that Kosovo is and will be a security provider, no longer a consumer. The Kosovo Police for one was able to secure freedom of movement and display its hard work at crowd/mob control. Pristina's efforts of nation building are paying off well and this is exactly what Brussels wants to see especially since the supervision of independence will begin to end in December of this year.

Pristina with this action is sending the message that its sovereignty will not be undermined even if it's against its own people. With that regard in mind indirectly the criminals in the north can expect a growing drive for Pristina to bring rule of law there as well. With KFOR leaving those rowdy minorities up there can expect water cannons, tear gas, batons from the KP officers and not bulldozers like the incompetent KFOR personnel.

"..what products from Kosovo are being blocked by Belgrade?" I am not concerned about x of y products. My concern is Serbian megalomania. If Serbia for example doesn't allow entering of vehicles from Kosovo to Serbia with RKS number plate that should be for the vehicles coming from Serbia to Kosovo with RS if I got it right. A second example if a Kosovo polititian is not allowed to enter Serbia as a polititian that should apply to Serbian polititian entering Kosovo. More examples needed?

Ivanović said it was "alarming that the movement was financially backed by local tycoons".

Does he mean exactly like the 'peaceful protesters' on the barricades in the north were financed by 'local tycoons' (i.e. criminals who benefit from Kosovo's unstable status)?

No, what's hard to understand is your insistence that your mafia crimeland is a real country. You have absolutely no economy to speak of; you produce nothing, manufacture nothing, contribute nothing to the world. All you are is a black hole for tax money from a large segment of the west that could not care less about you that is given to you by stupid, liberal government leaders. I often wonder whether kosovo and other stupid, nation building experiments like it are just an ingenius Chinese plot to bring down america and western europe.

STRICT RECIPROCITY for what, EA? As the Serbian minister said, what products from Kosovo are being blocked by Belgrade? Can you name them, please? If the talks between Pristina, Belgrade and the international community are on the same page on transport of goods, what in the world is this self-determination group begging to differ? I have to agree with the minister from Serbia here, this is an organized and planned media seeking event by Mr. Kurti and his followers. And with these protests being funded by Albanian businessmen, their must be self interest as the motive, not self determination.

Excellent article. Good job Serbia you finally realized the bate and catch game the albanians are playing. Now they will jump to every propaganda opportunity possible, but they dont have any ammo except for past issues which most are untrue anyway. The world is waking up and the albanians are more brainwashed than ever, things are turning around.

“They did not accidentally choose just this moment to add fuel to the flames in Kosovo."

Where are the flames? Who is causing the flames? Should they have asked permission from Belgrade when and how to organise a protest? All they want is STRICT RECIPROCITY relationships with Serbia. Is that hard to understand?

This man is just so ridicules and unbelievable. Before he makes comments like that, he should first reflect on what happened in Northeren Kosovo since last summer. People were kikked there by extremist serbian mobs. There obviously is no reflection whatsoever in the heads of these people, and they just disquilfy themselves from being taken seriously when they argue so one-sided. He should have said somethig like, it is sad that extremists on both sides have caused problems, and lets show the world together now, that we, Serbia and Kosovo can come to terms with each other, and make a better living for Kosovars and Serbians.
