I hear that even Tudjman could agree to cede Krajina territory to YU/Serbia but Germany warned it would recognize Croatia only in the border of former YU republic of Croatia.

It was a dramatic mistake Croatia was granted pre-mature recognition by Germany, even US was strictly against. That act contributed a lot to inflaming of bloody war in former YU.

Allow those Serbs who were driven from their homes to return unmolested. Arrest all those who glorify the Ustasha past. Punish war criminals and those responsible for hate crimes. Desist from vandalising any vehicle with a Serbian numberplate. And then maybe the rest of us will join in with the celebrations.

Unfortunate that any state in the world relies on persecution of its minorities to cement its "independence." While Serbia is one of the most diverse nations in the balkans, Croatia's chauvinistic policies continue unabated. This is not surprising since they still subscribe to the same racial ideology which undid the germans in the second world war.

Small size and irregular territory is not the "country's" biggest problem, but the hate and xenophobia which continues to this day. The most natural and just solution for "croatia" is to be broken into regions, and to rely on sponsor states for their management, but never independence.

What is there to celebrate ! 20,000 dead or missing in 20 years, the commo gov. has forgotten about the war veterans and are more interested in hugging those same Serbs that wanted a G.Serbia in 1991. Unemployment is rising and people steal whatever they can when they can. If it weren't for the Hercegovci there would be no Croatia today, when they were in Slavonija defending the country the locals ran to Germany like scared tip rats making money and returning after the war with wealth making money on the misery of others. Once again Croatia is entering a new YU called the E.U which will in the end tare it's soul apart just like the old YU nearly did.
