"For just a visa"

Shame on you.

Freedom of movement means so much. For you to condemn ordinary Serbs to imprisonment in their little country from your comfortable seat in the west is unconscionable.

And, no, it wasn't in exchange for setting a border that Serbia got on the white list at the same time as Montenegro and Macedonia.
(Danilo, 14 January 2012 16:09)

I fully agree - shame on Srboslav for saying that. Also, I hope that we all agree that Tadic is a traitor.

Since EU and NATO forces us to have id checks at the border between the province of Kosovo and other parts of Serbia we have to follow if we wan'ts to stay on the white schengen list. Simple as that.
(Srboslav, 13 January 2012 15:00)

Ah those traitors in Belgrade ! For just a visa they have established a border between Kosovo and Serbia...

Ivan

He is not allowed be cause he is part of false government. He and his buddies are woprking to steal a piece of Serbias land. He cannot travel to conduct his politics as if he is a real politician that was elected legally. He cannot travel freely because his title as a governemnt official is a crime. Serbia does not recognize thaci's regime. Secondly this is most likely also in response to thaci's stupid comment that the Serbian president will never enter Kosovo again. GET REAL, WHEN ALABANIANS GET A TASTE OF THEIR OWN MEDICINE THEY CRY FOUL.

But as a K-Albanian he is automatically a Serbian citizen, isn't he? Why should a Serbian citizen not be allowed to enter Serbia??? Or must one be a "pure" Serb to be allowed to enter? Apartheid 2.0???
(Nelson Mandelovic, 12 January 2012 14:34)

Yes, he is a citizen, and he is welcome to travel all across Serbia, from Pristina to Novi Sad if he likes.
But he can't do so with a false/nonvalid or outdated ID, had he used a approved and recognized Id there wouldn't have been a problem.
Since EU and NATO forces us to have id checks at the border between the province of Kosovo and other parts of Serbia we have to follow if we wan'ts to stay on the white schengen list. Simple as that.
I can't expect to cross borders or administrative lines were proper ID is required with a home made ID,can I?

What he admits or does not admit is irrelevant, dear. He still remains a citizen of Serbia according to Serbia’s constitution. First time I hear that a Serb citizen can be stopped by the Serbian police to go from point A to point B within Serbia unless he/she publicly declares that he/she is a citizen of Serbia. That's what the Serbia police does all day, say, in Belgrade - stop people in the street until they declare they are citizens of Serbia :)

That guy is practically a nobody and with that play you not only made him famous, you gave Prishtina all what it needs to stop each official coming from Serbia. Of course, they can sneak thru forests and backyards to North Kosovo, like illegal immigrants (only this alone is already so shameful), but the major part, especially the decisive installations like the monasteries is now off-limits.

Good job, Dacic.

I'm just curious! Where do albanians get their information from? You can't even stop a donkey should it decide to enter Kosovo. You need to understand that Europe is in power in Kosovo, not albanains. You are just observers. There are probably thousands of ways to enter Kosovo from Serbia. If a serb want to visit his home, church etc then he will do so. The only problem is for serbs to move freely because of threats from albanians terrorists and criminals.

SCP UK: "no reason why he should be allowed into Serbia"

You two have changed your tunes. You've finally accepted that Kosovo isn't in Serbia.

Arrest and imprison him on what grounds?

Well as far as I'm aware, Germany is a long established state in the EU which wasn't subject to Milosevic, Isolation and War in the 1990s. Hence the reason why Germany doesn't need some on the ministries which Kosovo has, for example "International Recognitions and Foreign Investments", "Dialogue with Serbia", "European Integration", "Economic Development", "Infrastructure", "Spatial Planning", "Communities and Returns" and "Diaspora".

If Europe decides in Kosovo how come then every time Boris Tadic want to visit Kosovo, he must ask someone from Europe and then Europe asks Prishtina if he can come or not?

Bravo to Serbia,
Serbia is still able to dictate what and how things happen in Balkans, and not allowing a clown of a corrupt governament in Prishtina to enter Serbia is just icing on a cake!
Albanian posters please stop embarrassing yourselfs with ridicules comments, the reality is that there is no independent Kosova, there is no governament in Prishtina! There is just a bunch of corrupt, spineless cowards who's main goal is to become rich even at a cost of losing the biggest opportunity that the Albanians have had in thousand years.
So bravo to Serbia!

Double standarts are applied here, and especially after Tadic's trip to Kosovo over the Christmas hollidays, it would have been a good sign to let him into Serbia as well. But again, Serbia showed it's real face, and it is not a nice one. These are the kind of things which will ruin Serbia's chances to get Canditate status, and rightfully so. Eu politicans will rember how he conducted himself in Kosovo, and will rember this incident. How stupid are they? So from now on, Tadic and his gang should not be allowed to travel to Kosovo as well and spread their filth.

PEN

Perfectly legitimate decision by the Ministry of Interior. The only reason this man intended to visit Presevo was to stir up trouble with the local Albanians. His visit wasn't, in all probability, condusive to the public good.
Besides, when the Serbian President has his car stoned by a bunch of savages when attempting to visit Decani for Xmas, what do they expect. A warm welcome perhaps. Get real!

Lets not jump to conclusions here. We don't know why he was denied entry to central Serbia. It might have been that he had no valid and recognized identificaion on him. If he uses a ID issued by the locan authorities in Pristina or one found in a cornflakes box he will not be denied since they are not recognized legal documents.

Serbia has to have control over the administrative border to be on the white schengen list. If serbian police let anyone in with any kind of non valid id they would quickly loose that.

well, these are provincial adminstrative lines. each province has its own government, and if he is not allowed to travel from one province to another is not the same thing as defacto recognizing a new state.
if this perpetrator was thought to be insighting disobedience, violence or destruction of any sort he can be denied to enter a football stadium, so entering a province is reasonable justification. you'll notice at the next g8 summit in chicago there will be people of american nationality that will be denied entry into the great windy city as possibly into the state of illnois as well.
this just seems like a very wise precaution to protect the civil order.

I'm just curious! Where do albanians get their information from? You can't even stop a donkey should it decide to enter Kosovo. You need to understand that Europe is in power in Kosovo, not albanains. You are just observers. There are probably thousands of ways to enter Kosovo from Serbia.

That guy is practically a nobody and with that play you not only made him famous, you gave Prishtina all what it needs to stop each official coming from Serbia.
