The OHR has reacted to Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC) Patriarch Irinej’s statement that the RS is “the youngest Serbian state”.

Funny! This Patriarch seem to have drunk too much wine. Of course RS is not a state, just like Kosovo is not a state - only in the illusion of certain people.

OHR is technically correct.Republika Srpska is entity not a State so is Muslim/Croat federation.Both together represents DYSFUNCTIONAL STATE OF
BOSNIA and HERZEGOVINA.The West created this unfortunate State,one of its master pieces of 20th century, which is doom to remain divided indefinitely.Patriarch Irinej was assuring Serbs of Republika Srpska
that they have their Church support in their struggle to remain free

you say kosovo is allowed to succeed by rs cannot, while rs has not made official moves to do so.
what is your stance on this as it seems to go contrary to what your saying.
if you pay attention this is the exact argument posed by those serbs.
if regions (states, entities, provinces) of yugoslavia were allowed to leave the nation, and if kosovo (a province state or entity) was allowed to leave yugoslavia or serbia (depending on how you interpret the consitiution at the time) then why can a region, province entity or state of another country leave?

In the 'Good old days' (sic) when people like Paddy Ashdown could march around in a pith helment like a british Viceroy in India and order all sorts of things, the firing of dozens of RS officials (all actions now since rescinded by the OHR), the writing of a politically correct report on Srebrenica by the RS that he didn't like etc., and now it deigns to comment on the words of the patriarch where before it would have be soooo beneath them. If you want to get fat for doing nothing, get a job with the OHR! The best thing they are capable of protecting is their own jobs and vanities.

The West did not create BiH, it confirmed BiH’s sovereign right to exist- the misfortune arose in their short sighted attempt to present a pathway to functionality, ie the Dayton so called accord. They did not see, or refused to acknowledge, what most now see as the bleeding obvious; the architects of RS had a longer game plan in play and that their strategy was simple –noncompliance on matters related to BiH. In short they transferred their war from open conflict to a cold war footing.
Bos Orthodox and Serbs living in RS clutch at the rhetoric that all is done for politically good will in their name- they overlook, dismiss or deny what else has and is being done in their name- to consider the possibility of such is to cast a shadow of shame that will linger for generations. Reconciliation begins with the truth not segregation or separation; they may achieve the political aims but not present a moment of peace for the personal and it is on that level that we build a future for our children.
