"Dairy industry to grow, imports to be halted"

The Serbian dairy industry is expanding and import of milk is expected to stop in 2012, said Minister of Agriculture and Trade Dušan Petrović.

This guy makes me laugh. We can not compete with subsidies from the EU. They are not targeting/undermining our market right now, but when they decide to there is no helping us. Lets remember, the regime wants to join the EU, and when that happens there is saying no to imports. They will import and flood our market with whatever stuff they want. They produce everything for less, and on top of that they get subsidized. They can sell milk for a loss and still make a profit, thanks to subsidies. Hence it is only a matter of time until our milk sector goes bankrupt, if we continue with the path that we're on.
