Libya on brink of civil war - TNC head

Libya could face a civil war if it does not rein paramilitary units and get them under control, says Transitional National Council Chief Mustapha Abdel Jalil.

How naive of you to think that the West bombed Libya because of oil. The bombing campaign will end up costing the WEst more than what Libya is worth.

Say what you will about Saddam Hussien but none of this internal violence happened under his rule.

The killings of tens of thousands of Kurds is not considered violence in your world? Torture of innocent civilians is not violence either?

I'm beginning to think that some posters here idolize sociopath like Sloba, Ratko, Radovan, Saddam, Gaddafi, Stalin, Hitler.

I really am interested to know why did NATO bomb Libya if not for the oil?

About as much as other sociopaths idolize Franjo, Alija, Ante, Hashim, Ramush, Agim and Fatmir :)

"If the West wants to secure its grip on Libyan oil reserves, then it may require an indefinite NATO bombing campaign.

Pray for the people of Libya and Syria and for all our brothers and sisters in the Middle East. Light candles of peace for them as the day of our saviors birth approaches. Pray to soften the hearts of the violent men and to strengthen the spirit of those that suffer.

You can thank western imperialist powers for leaving Libya and Iraq a complete mess. Say what you will about Saddam Hussien but none of this internal violence happened under his rule.

The Libyan army was not defeated in battle. It withdrew and went underground to protect itself from merciless NATO bombing. The criminal opportunists who called themselves the NTC were never a match for loyal Libyan fighters.

Now NATO bombing has stopped (for the moment, at least) and the Libyan army is recovering territory surrendered to the NATO-backed NTC. Many towns across Libya are firmly in the hands of the previous government. Battles will soon breakout for Tripoli which will quickly fall.
