This is exactly what is being claimed by the Turks today.Turkish tourist guides claim today that Halicarnassus was build by their ancestors and there is not a single mentioning of the Armenian,Assyrian and Greek civilizations. The fact that thousands of Armenian and Greek churches have been raised to the ground compelled the UN to call it a "cultural genocide".
(Leonidas, 5 January 2012 15:57)

I recall the cleansing of Greeks from Turkey in the late 1960s with not even a peep out of the US. Its always the culturally deficient that have this need to steal someone else’s history and heritage.

OMG I really cannot say if you Kalbos are more laughable or atrocious in you persistent ignorance.

The first examples of “literature” in Albanian are from XVI century and produced by Catholic missionaries. Now, can you tell me how comes that an illiterate people without a nation on their own ever fancied to build churches before the same Christianity did? If you pick up a book or two written by credited scholars (not the Pristina-University-Press or alike) you’ll see that significant religious marks on areas presently inhabited by Albanians were left – in this order - by Latins (proto-Christians), Christian Orthodox (Greeks and Serbs), Christian Catholics (Italians) Muslim (Turks), whoever you can fancy but not Albanians.

Sorry to say this, but the Albanians culturally never existed. Whatever you call “traditional” is in fact an expression of someone else culture (Turks, Greeks, Serbs, Italian etc.). Your “cultural” – in the wider sense - substrate was too poor to leave any relics (if not that funny thing about the Illyrian past – pirates, according to latin chronicles - you keep on repeating like a mantra), but some truculent habits only recently (in historical terms) codified in the kanun.

Ok, you built “Autolarje”, but even those do not come from Albanian tradition!

I know it must not be great the feeling to be like minor children of history. This must be the reason for your stubborn pretending to be bigger than you are. You’re far from adulthood.

Hmmm, Albanians are 97% Muslims and they built those Churches and kept them from being destroyed for centuries, but only recently they decided to burn them down. One clown calling himself an Albanian academic makes a ludicrous claim and its now fact.
You people cleansed everyone that was not an Albanian Muslim from Kosovo and burnt their homes and now you are telling me that the churches would have been left intact for centuries. Next we are going to hear how it was the Albanians who built the Parthenon and started the Olympic games.

The only thing you people are famous for is criminality – look at how Hollywood portrays you. The movie Taken with Liam Neeson – he plays a man whose daughter is taken into the slave trade by ALBANIANS no not Serbs but ALBANIANS.

Actually the Muslim army used buildings in Snipers Alley - this was testified by UN officers who were living there during the war. The Muslims knew the Serbs were getting automatically blamed so it was PR for them. Indeed, UN personnel have written in their books and testified at the ICTY (it's in the transcripts) of Muslims initiating sniper attacks around UN buildings, hospitals and other places to get a response in which to demonize Serbs.
The Bosnian Muslims also pre-set up their cameras to record the Markale Massacre which they had roped off before the massacre then allowed people in and then came the explosion. They staged and set up many things which the media would blame on Serbs.
French Marines in 1995 went to trace some harassing fire and found to their surprise it was Muslims using the former Parliamentary building - they had been assuming, without checking that it was the Serbs - and that's what the Muslims counted on.

Where have you been the last 8+ years? The fact that this article doesn't mention the atrocities the US committed in Iraq doesn't mean they didn't happen.FYI more than a million Iraqis were killed and close to 6 million displaced let alone the long-term radiation effects from depleted uranium bombs.

In the meantime it's pretty evident the absence of any democracy in US that is sufficiently robust to hold into account war criminals Bush and Cheney who are accumulating personal wealth on the backs of their many victims. They're the constant reminder of your national shame.

If this bloke was a Serb, he would have been thrown in the Hague by now..

Imagine if one bloke Killed 255 imagine how many people have actually been killed since 2003...

Was America's intervention in Iraq worth it? nope? the middle east is probably more unstable than what it was in 2003 + they left the precious gift of civil war to the Iraqis...

As for the Albanians commenting, you behave as if life is a sony PS game, going around killing people... but when the Albanians were getting a solid belting back in the 90's, they were crying in front of CNN and BBC

Souless people..

If you actually picked up a book or two you would know that the Count is right about churches in Kosovo having been Albanian.
Information is free and ignorance is not an excuse.
You are to blame for not knowing much!

Perhaps this clown will tell us if those ruins along the Turkish Coast, which is key to the Turkish tourism, is attributed to the Turks or for that matter places like Delphi or the Parthenon.
(sj, 4 January 2012 23:36)

This is exactly what is being claimed by the Turks today.Turkish tourist guides claim today that Halicarnassus was build by their ancestors and there is not a single mentioning of the Armenian,Assyrian and Greek civilizations. The fact that thousands of Armenian and Greek churches have been raised to the ground compelled the UN to call it a "cultural genocide".

" With the name "" you have the gall since your country, Greece, has the all time distinction of being the disgrace of all nations. With that, it is probably not true that "democracy" originated there, just as "Feta cheese" is not originally Greek but Turkish.
(The Count of Kosova, 4 January 2012 19:07)

Well Leonidas we have been told. Feta Cheese is Turkish and the Churches in Kosovo are actually Albanian. It does not get any better than that.
If it was not for the Albanians and Turks the world would not exist as we know it today. Perhaps this clown will tell us if those ruins along the Turkish Coast, which is key to the Turkish tourism, is attributed to the Turks or for that matter places like Delphi or the Parthenon.

Some backward thinking Serbs blame the world for their misfortune.

He should have been more like the Serbian paramilitary as they delivered flowers and candy to the Albanians as they pranced through Kosovo, on their mission of joy.

I recall the cleansing of Greeks from Turkey in the late 1960s with not even a peep out of the US. Its always the culturally deficient that have this need to steal someone else’s history and heritage.
