A usual problem when you don't have agreements between two countries, but only with a pseudo-country: Kosovo cannot be part of the green card car insurance system, because this organization (as well as many others) only accept internationally recognized countries(i.e. UN-members) and not some self-proclaimed entities like Kosovo.
(Analyst, 2 January 2012 13:13)

Sure, but regardless what Kosovo is - let’s call it a black hole - it determines what happens with the cars entering Kosovo. So whether you agree or not is irrelevant – they have to do what Kosovo says, otherwise it’s simple – the cars will not be allowed to enter Kosovo if they don't obey Kosovo's insurance rules.

aaayyy,
How will we know that the referendum is fair? With no one regulating the results, this, surely, will lead to stuffing the ballot boxes.
(The Count of Kosova, 3 January 2012 15:37)

That’s impossible. They are going to adopt the best elections practices from their preferred country, Russia :)

"The state of Serbia will never dismantle its institutions in Kosovo and Metohija, and thanks to those, Serbs have survived in the province," he said, warning at the same time that "nobody had the right to lead several tens of thousands of Serbs into conflicts with their own state", and that the Serbian government "must be respected".

Well, the Minister is making the assumption that they consider Serbia as their own state. That is not necessarily true.

aaayyy,

How will we know that the referendum is fair? With no one regulating the results, this, surely, will lead to stuffing the ballot boxes. Regardless, a referendum in N. Kosova is against the K. Albanian constitution as well as the Serbian one!
(The Count of Kosova, 3 January 2012 15:37)

1) International observers from neutral countries could be invited.
2) do you honestly believe KSerbs want Prishtina institutions?
3) As for legality of referendum - it's an interesting question - who has rights for referendum? Did/do Croats/Bosnians/Croatian Serbs/Bosnian Serbs/KAlbanians/KSerbs had/have rights for referendums? Were/are they legal/illegal?

The reason why Serbs in the North do not respect anyone's authority is because
they are run by criminal elements and in order to sustain their black market smuggling operations they require lawlessness and anarchy.
(Dibrani007, 2 January 2012 20:08)

Opinions like that are exactly the reason why KSerbs want to hold referendum - to prove that all of them don't want Prishtina institutions, not only few "criminal elements".

No one is about to claim their own some religious institutions. Religious institutions have been protected for centuries in Albanian communities.

There should no denial that some over 10 years ago some Serbian Orthodox Churches were destroyed, because of the rage and hate the refugee people had towards Serbian institutions since most of all 1990s Serbian institutions where hiding themselves behind Serbian Orthodox church.

This minister still thinks and trying to sell the story that it's 1990 and Albanian people and other non-Serbian people are a danger to Serbian institutions, but no one is buying it, even the Serbs themselves.

Dibrani007

Bogdanović noted that while he "can understand that the citizens in the north do not accept Kosovo and international institutions", he found it difficult to understand that they "do not accept the opinion and position of Serbia".

I wonder who has right for referendums and over which issues?

Funny, but Prishtina should support KSerbs (as it claims them to be "Kosovo" citizens) over Serbian government, so if KSerbs are not satisfied with the agreement, Prishtina should rearrange agreement to their likings. Prishtins should care about its "citizens" :)
(aaayyy, 2 January 2012 17:17)

Absolutely, Kosovo Serbs just need to collect their thoughts about what their wishes are.

"A usual problem when you don't have agreements between two countries,"

Like an inter border monopoly?

"but only with a pseudo-country:"

Ask your neighbors or the region or your host country, and do tell the response.

"Kosovo cannot be part of the green card car insurance system, because this organization (as well as many others) only accept internationally recognized countries(i.e. UN-members) and not some self-proclaimed entities like Kosovo.

There are plenty of entrepreneurs who will respond to the market needs, if you want a totalitarian system to dictate by force who and how private insurance company's operate, well thats another problem, not Kosovo. It will be a great loss to both people only.

I still dont get why Serbs are so against free trade and peace with Kosovo.

The more trade there is between the two, the less the bs propaganda will be from both states, the more prosperous the region.

Concentrate on republics, not democracy, "51% of the people want to visit mars so lets visit Mars" And your constitution should not change at a seconds notice under pressure by mass media, bcs you'll do it again when the media hits the queue.

Even b92 would profit by having more literature on science, success, rather than the yearly marxist cries.

"There will be a meeting in Vienna in mid-January... I was the first to speak against charging either for entry or exit from Kosovo and Metohija," he said, and added that the fees were "set by insurance companies, not Serbia".
