Whatever the reason, Muslims are looked at with suspicion and not wanted. Granted, not by all but most. It wasn't always so, but it is now.
(Peggy, 3 January 2012 08:40)

Well, dear, you are not "most". Thanks however for taking the time and explaining your bigotry - but it still remains a bigotry.

Peggy

It was not word twisting - but a simple conclusion. By saying that "Kosovo deserved to have its autonomy revoked", you supported the policies of the government that illegally revoked Kosovo's autonomy and actively worked on de-Albanization of Kosovo. This was the same government that committed all those crimes in the 1990s!
==========================

Gee you like to exaggerate.
De-Albanise Kosovo? Rubbish. The mass exodus started when NATO (your friends) started bombing. Until then KLA was the main target not the civilians but why let the truth stand in a way of a good story?
Those good stories are what sold your version to the world. Unfortunately for you the world is slowly getting to know you.

I know it hurts, but without coming to terms with the past, there may be no future.

I am afraid that this ignorance allows you to continue with your fierce arrogance, and possibly drive you and your nation to repeat the atrocities if given a chance.

======================================

I never said that no Serb committed any crimes. If have have made that statement then feel free to find it anywhere and post it.
During any war killings happen, crimes are committed and so on. What I always said is that Albanians were not oppressed in Kosovo but Albanians stirred trouble until intervention happened.

This is vastly different to what you are trying to show that I said, but then twisting my words and the words of other Serbs is nothing new to you guys.

ICJ, you think you have all the answers but you are the one who speaks from a position of ignorance.
You see, most Muslims agree with what I have described before and don't fit in and do take over.
Why do you think 70% of our food is Halal when only 1.5% of the population is Muslim? They write letters, complain and demand.
You only wish that Aussies see you in a better light but they don't. I have spoken with many from different ethnic backgrounds, others have as well and they all say the same thing. Muslims are not welcome any longer.
You can say that we are all uneducated, racist, ignorant, uninformed etc. but the truth remains and you can't change it.

If majority Muslims think differently from what is being shown on TV here then they are free to speak up and make sure that our society doesn't change to suit them but the don't. Why do you think it is?

Whatever the reason, Muslims are looked at with suspicion and not wanted. Granted, not by all but most. It wasn't always so, but it is now.

Here's a little paragraph for Peggy. This was taken from a 2006 article about the mass graves of Kosovars found in Belgrade (Batajnica):

http://iwpr.net/report-news/kosovo-trial-hears-batajnica-evidence

"Eight Serbian high-ranking police officers are currently on trial in Belgrade for their alleged role in this crime. The trial, at the Belgrade District Court, started on October 3 this year. All of the accused pleaded not guilty to the charges against them.

Belgrade prosecutors claim that among the bodies exhumed from the Batajnica mass graves, six belonged to children, aged one to four. One pregnant women and a 100-year-old woman were also among the victims"

Peggy, you said that Kosovars deserved the "revocation of autonomy" - are you still defending those same policies that caused the death of six children, a pregnant woman, and a 100 year old woman? Were they terrorists as well Peggy? Or they deserved to die because they were non-Serbs children?

The sad thing is that a large number of residents of Serbia, and Serbs abroad (like you) refuse to believe that mass graves existed in Batajnica, Lake Perućac and other places yet to be uncovered in Serbia (almost 2000 Albanians are still missing). You continue to believe that Serb massacres in Kosovo are a fairy tale.

I am afraid that this ignorance allows you to continue with your fierce arrogance, and possibly drive you and your nation to repeat the atrocities if given a chance.

Oh dear, but I thought Serbia is not Stalin's Russia where entire populations had to pay for the crimes, real or imaginary, of a few.

Correction.

But that’s a racist mentality dear. You are a smart and educated person who should be able to distinguish the acts of some from the rest who are mostly honest and hardworking people. For example, just because some Serbs committed crimes in Kosovo I would never think that that reflects negatively on ALL Serbs. Bad people exist everywhere.

an observation

pre 12 godina

Anyone in the US in the 1990's remembers the whitewater scandal. Every few days someone would rehash all the rumors and talk about how guilty the Clintons were and how they made millions off of an illegal land deal. this went on for 7 years during the entire Clinton administration, with a special prosecutor, it dominated the news. the one thing lacking was no evidence was ever poresented just rehashing the same claims. In the end when it was time for Clinton to leave office the special prosecutor finally admitted there was no evidence. The Clintons had invested in a legal but stupid land deal that went belly up and they lost several thousand dollars. But it was kept in the limelight and those who wanted to believe they were guilty of something ate it up.
Sound familiar, every few days Serbia brings up the organ harvesting issue, no one has ever presented any proof, 2 previous investigations failed to come up with credible evidence but it stays in the limelight, Serbia and Russia making a big deal at the UNSC, publicity, publicity, publicity, but alas no evidence, no evidence, no evidence. And at the end of the road when it is no more use to Serbia it will be announced that there is no credible evidenc to support the claims. Those especially on here like many in America will always believe in their guilt but in reality there is nothing there.

So, according to Peggy, the problems in South Africa were started by the black Africans, because they were discriminated! Or, the problems in the US before the civil rights movements were caused by African Americans. Or the problems to the males were caused by all the females that didn't have the right to vote during the Women's suffrage...

Shameless.

Albanians were NOT oppressed in Kosovo. Albanians had their own language in institutions and enjoyed the same rights as Serbs. Look it up. Stop with trying to change history. Yes, Milosevic went hard on you but that is only after decades of persecuting Serbs and trying to run the out.
Why were you doing all that. By your own admissions you Albanians have been trying to separate and join Albania for a hundred years.
Were you always second class citizens?
You only lost your rights to autonomy when things got way out of hand and your terror was evident. You deserved to lose autonomy for that.

(Peggy, 1 January 2012 14:30)"

Again, your one-dimensional way of thinking is very disturbing!

Had the Albanians in Kosovo been treated equally like the Serbs, no one in Kosovo would've asked for Independence! Hadn't Serbia gone nuts in the 1990s, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia, Macedonia, or even Montenegro would have not chosen the independence route either.

Alliance with Serbia would've been more beneficial for the area due to the infrastructural and other existing connections with Serbia - and of course, an EU entry would have been a thing of the past for the whole former YU.

As far as Kosovo - no mistreatment of Serbs happened in Kosovo ever as they were privileged, first class citizens, and had "free passes" to do anything in Kosovo. They were above the law! In the years after Tito died, the whole Yugoslavia entered a huge economic crisis. Kosovo was hit the most. Whoever left Kosovo before 1999, left for economical reasons. Those Serbs that left during and after 1999 left due to fear, mostly fear of retaliation for their crimes and guilty conscience for everything that they have done to Kosovar Albanians.

So, according to Peggy, the problems in South Africa were started by the black Africans, because they were discriminated! Or, the problems in the US before the civil rights movements were caused by African Americans.

Finally someone with half a human soul has come forward and shone light on the disgusting crimes committed by Serbs in Kosova. This is just the tip of the ice berg, these kinds of crimes were perpetrated against Albanian civilians throughout Kosova on a shocking scale and often times against woman and children.

Serbian community in Australia is almost entirely extremist and violent. Serbia is lucky that these people are no longer in the country.

Are you actually comparing yourself with black South Africans or African Americans?

Criminals should be brought to justice regardless of their nationality. Threats by electronic means are taken very seriously in countries where rule of law is superior to the rule of any human leader or ethnic group!

Or, the problems in the US before the civil rights movements were caused by African Americans. an observation

pre 12 godina
