“Croatia won’t block Serbia’s EU integration”

Josipović added that someone was “taking advantage of the fear and it is directly detrimental to Serbia and the entire region’s interests, including Croatia and EU’s interests”. The only one that is spreading fear is Josipović want to be a EU bureaucrat and the EU bureaucratic bureaucrats as they try to hold on to their well paying jobs wit no accountability.

“There are no serious politicians in Croatia today that could use tripping methods, blackmails and blocking in relations with the neighbors,” he told Novi Sad-based daily Dnevnik.

He said that the countries outside the EU did not have a very good perspective and repeated that Croatia would sincerely support Serbia on the EU pathway.

"There is no country that has not profited after it joined the EU," the Croat president noted.

I like Josipovic more and more - what a contrast to the previous president, not to mention this shame of a PM called Kosor.

Kosor was never elected by Croatians.

She just came in once Sanader left, and tried to get as many nationalist votes because she knew her loss in the polls was inevitable.

Hopefully Milanovic can do some good now that he's in office.

The only reason Greece is having financial problems is because they joined the EU and surrendered their currency. If not for joining the Austerity Union, things in Greece would be just fine. For the benefit of its citizens, Greece should leave the EU and Serbia should never join.

With all due respect to Croatian civilians who suffered at hands of Serb paramilitary, your country didn't have right to separate from YU the way it did, it was premature separation, which was supported only by Germany, even Americans objected it and for good reason.

IMHO if you wanted smoother separation you were to cede up to 15% of the territory of former Croatian Yugoslav republic because it was disputed territory and you initialized the separation.

Also don't forget that Serbian civilians also suffered at hand of Croatian nationalists.

And your German older brothers are far away from you, while your Serbian neighbours are close to you and will always be.

Seems you don't have a clue about the EU. But maybe you remember even Croatia's EU candidate status was delayed because of a sea territory dispute with Slovenia. So any EU member state can veto.

Croatia has newer fought WAR against Serbia or COMUNIST (FNRJ) outside Coatias borders.
If Croatian Serb's were fiting alongside Croatian ARMI,in the past WAE, there woundn't be a drop of blud spild.But they ded not reject Milosevic SERBIA EXPENSIONISAM.
