High rep expects 2012 to be better for Bosnia

Nato membership???

WHO has said that Bosnia should be in Nato? The high commisioner?
I thought that it was for the people of Bosnias two entities to hold a referendum about and decide.
If both the federation AND Republika Srpskas result shows that a majority is pro Nato, then fine, apply. But if one entity doesnt want it, then Bosnia will stay out of Nato.

If I'm not wrong the three sides in Bosnia worked out a deal themselves, without interfearance from outside powers. Now we have this clown saying what the people of Bosnia should and should not do. This is the biggest problems in the balkans. Outsiders interfearing. America and other have managed to make us enemies so that it would be easier for them to control us and have us do what they want. Western imperialism is still alive.

The High Rep sends a 'New Year Message'. Who does he think he is, the Queen of England? Unbelievable in the 21st century that Europe still peddles this colonial bollox.

Yes, more than a year after the elections. Impressive. It's things like that which shows everyone that a High Rep is still needed - bad enough.

No, blame the extremists on all sides who played the nationalist cards. Include every person who voted for Milosevic as responsible. It's always easier to point the fingers at others instead to realize your own guilt. 'America and others' unfortunately acted much too late. Don't confuse action and reaction, reasons and consequences.

Why don't you look at Irak and Afghanistan and the mess America has made. I watched a documentary recently about swedish peacekeepers in Afghanistan. People there wanted NATO to leave. They wanted to deal with their problems themselves. In Irak the divisions between the three major populations is greater then ever before. Why? America has a tendencey to cause more damage then they do good. Kosovo is another example of a failure. Greater divisions between serbs and albs and 200.000 serbs are still waiting to return. I could go on about Kosovos failure but I don't have the time.
The war in Croatia could have been avoided. I do blame serbs for not accepting a peaceplan offered just before operation storm but in Bosnia serbs did what they had to do. They were ignored by both croats and muslims. Serbs were simply defending their homes and lives. That's why serbs were rewarded 49 percent of the territory and automony.
Kosovo was wrongfully taken away from Serbia thanks to american interests (Bondsteel). They also wanted to show the muslim world that they "supported" muslims by granting albanians a state on territory that belongs to someone else. Its easy to give away something that isn't yours. If serbs are the only ones to blame then how come croats, muslims and albanians have also been convicted of war crimes? How come albanians were also expelled from Croatia during operation storm? How come croats and muslims fought eachother? Is that also the fault of the serbs? You and others like you need to blame everything on the serbs so that you could justify stealing our territory and killing our people. If I was a serbian leader and if I could go back in time I wouldn't change much.
