Dodik is quite right. Republika Srpska is permanent, while Bosnia-Hercegovina is temporary. Don't worry muslims and croats, we won't interfere when you fight another war in Mostar between yourselves.

He is right! This is also why the war in Bosnia began. Muslims wanting to impose their will on Serbs and later the Croats. Muslims have failed with their entity and now want to blame Serbs. What they should do is blame the talibans who have been allowed to get more and more influence in evertyday life of bosnjaks. I have always said that muslims are unable to run a country without bringing in islam. This is why Serbs and Croats should stay the hell away from what ever is left of Bosnia. Only united can we fight against intollerant islam.

Quite right Dragan. . The croat and bosniaks deserve each other now more than ever. Just give me a few moments so that I may make a bag of popcorn for my viewing pleasure, should be a good show.

I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for Catholics and Muslims to fight it out. Not only that, but when the Catholics start agitating against Muslims, you can be sure that non-Catholics will provide the cannon fodder against them. Isn't this one of the bitterest parts of Serbian history? Being squeezed between two bloody tyrannical empires who are only too happy to apply Serbs against the other.

Peace is the answer, a steel peace, but a peace just the same. Neither the Catholics nor the Muslims have much to do with peace. I'm sure Dodik would agree.

For many years the Serbs have been the whipping post for the Croats and Bosniaks, but in the 1990s that turned around and we have the Catholics fighting the Muslims, with Croats turning on their allies thinking that the Bosniaks were at their weakest, but that was not to be so.
It has always been the Serbs who have taken a beating to keep that balance between the Croats and Muslims. The world has changed and the past is exactly just that. You now see the Vatican trying everything to repair relations with the Russian Orthodox Church because the Catholics have always followed those with money and since the new powers will be the BRIC countries Russia has become important. The Vatican cannot influence the Indians or Chinese and as they already have only Brazil that only leaves better relations with Russia. It’s not by accident that the Vatican is chasing the Russians.
The Serbs will never be the “meat in the sandwich” again. The Croats are going to find how hrad it is to stand on their own two feet as there will be no mother to help them.
The Bosniaks will slowly push out the Croats as we have seen so far. When the Dayton agreement was signed the Croats were treated as a people but today they are a minority and Croatia is unable to help them. When Bosnia finally breaks, and it will, the Croats, or what’s left of them, will be cleansed from the region. Naturally they will blame the Serbs.

RS is and will always be an aberration of decency and loyalty. Its borders house areas what will always be associated with horror and the destruction of culture. All the breast beating and baying at the moon will not hide the history of what happened and why. I’ve yet to meet a Bosnian orthodox, not a displaced Serb or a vested interest investor or a born again-Bosnian -new age -Serb who lived through the Serbian conflict with BiH that doesn’t feel a profound sense of loss; they remember their neighbours, they remember the exchanges in the classroom, on the korzo, at the pivnica, at the kafana. BiH is a historical reality. RS is underpinned by a lie and the truth as always will out.
