Keep in mind: Why have the barricdes been build? The barricades weren't meant to block KFOR, EULEX, and ordinary people in their daily lives, but solely to prevent some self-proclaimed Kosovo-Albanian officials to be present in the north, especially at the checkpoints. Why were EULEX/KFOR vehicles stopped? Because they were transporting these people to the north.

Apologies dear Analyst, but your very analytical analysis does not stand. EULEX is transporting customs officials to the crossings because UNMIK has said that customs taxes have to be collected at the crossings for goods destined to Kosovo. I'm assuming Kosovo is a province of Serbia. But still UNMIK regulations have to be implemented and Serbs and Albanians alike are strong supporters of UNMIK. In case you have forgotten, Resolution 1244 is still in force.

In addition, regardless of what the barricades were or were not meant for, according to N. Kosovo Serbs, they are making N. Kosovo Serbs' life very difficult when it comes to the freedom of movement.

You got it, Analyst. There is little to add to your post, besides that Eulex's sole purpose is now apparent, that it is to advance Pristina's rule over entire KiM. I can deal with that EU infiltration, but if Tadic also knew that Eulex was a Trojan horse and what Eulex's purpose was, then I am stunned, and betrayed.

"How is it that the rule of law remains ineffective in the parts of Kosovo where there are no barricades?"
(Law Abiding Citizen, 19 December 2011 14:58)

Ineffective? The rule of mafia laws in Southern Kosovo is very effective! How else could a spot on the map like Kosovo become Europe's main drug hub?

"De Marnhac said that Serbs in the north accused EULEX of acting unilaterally in Priština's favor, but, as he put it, the mission only wanted the removal of barricades and permanent and unconditional freedom of movement for everyone."

Hey doofus, the barricades only went up BECAUSE EULEX was acting unilaterally in Pristina's favor by transporting the UCK officers.

“Therefore it is important that there is full movement on the roads of northern Kosovo, not only for EULEX and KFOR, but also for the people so they can go about their normal, every day lives,” the EULEX chief pointed out.

Again Mr. de Marnhac! do not transport and install kosovo albanian customs and police in the crossings.

EULEX should be "Status Neutral" as per your agreement with Tadic. do not served the interest of the separatists in pristina.
