As long as Serbia understand what the score is and what is at stake, I am preatty sure EU has done its job towards Serbia. Serbia should not blame the others for its errors and misjudments. At the end of the day Russia is there with love ready to send more "humanitarian" convoys.

It is in the citizens' interest to live better, to be a part of a modern world, not to be isolated, to have no visas or obstacles to employment, to have free flow of goods, people and capital, but on the other hand, Serbia has other interests," Dačić underlined.

With other words, you will refuse all above mentioned advantages when it comes to "national interests"? Well, then enjoy you prolonged 1990s.

Their lack of basic logic is due to the ugly form of nationalism that clouds the Serbian mind. I doubt this will change any time soon. The EU will soon walk away from trying to advise Serbia on what it takes to be a candidate. However, leaving Serbia to its own devices will prove to be nothing short of disastrous for Serbia. As we say "You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink it".

He added that the only priority should be Serbia, for which joining the EU would be useful unless it jeopardized its national and state interests.

Mr Dacic, how does the above fit into your bosses statements of "there is no alternative to the EU"? Just curious cause it seems there is a flaw in your policies? Oh, yes, elections are around the corner.
