Impunity condemned as journalist is killed in Russia

"According to the IPI Death Watch, 40 journalists have been killed in Russia since 2000. In the majority of these cases, investigations have not led to the prosecution of the perpetrators of these crimes, which have greatly undermined independent journalism in Russia."

Even Fox News havent reported that the Russian Government was behind his killing, just about every single news outlet has stated that it was the Caucauses Militants who shot him down due to his coverage of extremist islam.

Are they journalists or are they the partizens for thier cause? If you want to solve the problem of violence against journalists, which seems to be a growing problem worldwide, you have to begin with the truth of what journalism has become in the West. To use an analogy, when a physician is accused of malpractice in the death of his patient, his license to practice his trade is revoked. When a journalist, through the omition of information or through out right lies, commits malpractice against his trade-his or her license to practice that trade should be revoked. When a doctor unlawfully is responsible for the death of his patient, a single person and his family suffers. Sometimes, when journalists in todays world knowingly lie and decieve, entire nations are subject to mass murder and seemingly endless chaos. Example: American journalist were all on board for the Iraq war using endless lies to promote that war and the outcome has been the death of nearly one million Iraqis and thousands of misinformed American soldiers.

Journalism has to be licensed. The only criteria to practice journalism should be the honest pursuit of the truth to ones best ability. When these journalists lie willingly to follow a certain national agenda they must be punished. Unfortunatly, journalists throughout the world have ceased to be agents of the truth but have become soldiers in the conflicts which thier nations pursue.
