Along with 300 tons of aid, recognition of Serb institutions as the legitimate representatives of northern Kosovo and a crossing the "border" to do that :)

You have to love the fact, how the religious kinds that post here are so brain washed and simple minded. As soon as you throw the word “religion” into the game, boy, people go berserk.

An Icon with Putin’s picture on it?! Are you kidding me?!

But I do understand; use religion as a chip and you always get a kickback.

I always say: to each their own. By “GOD”, believe in everything you want and follow your religious preacher’s BS to the dot, if that’s what makes you happy, but quit shoving these crap stories about “God” and how one’s religion is better than the others.

I personally am an Albanian with a “muslim” “identity” (notice how I put both words in quotes), who is a devoted atheist.

The irony of religion is that because of its power to divert man to destructive courses, the world could actually come to an end. The plain fact is: religion must die for mankind to live. The hour is getting very late to be able to indulge in having in key decisions made by religious people. By irrationalists, by those who would steer the ship of state not by a compass, but by the equivalent of reading the entrails of a chicken.

Faith means making a virtue out of not thinking. It's nothing to brag about.

And those who preach faith, and enable and elevate it are intellectual slaveholders, keeping mankind in a bondage to fantasy and nonsense that has spawned and justified so much lunacy and destruction. Religion is dangerous because it allows human beings who don't have all the answers to think that they do. Most people would think it's wonderful when someone says, "I'm willing, Lord! I'll do whatever you want me to do!" Except that since there are no gods actually talking to us, that void is filled in by people with their own corruptions and limitations and agendas, BM.

(AKA Saint Putin and many, many others I can list here).

It’s obvious that Putin and clowns like this “ambassador” are playing these very cards, but what’s crazier, is the fact that people are actually buying into it!!

No stop to primitive thinking…

Cheers and “GOD” bless…

A good friend, who also happens to be gay, told me a joke a long time ago.
A gay man passed away and went before the pearly gates. St Peter asked him a few questions and after said he can come in and he would show him around heaven. He took him everywhere and at the end of the tour St Peter asked the gay man if he had any questions.
The gay man said yes – St Peter everywhere we went there was this 10 foot brick wall; why is it there?
St Peter answered; oh the Catholics are behind that wall because they think they are the only ones in heaven.
End of story.

Putin might have sent an autographed picture of himself, but who wants that? He didn't. Or at least it wasn't news.

Bravo, Putin.
(Paul, 16 December 2011 22:34)

not really, if one looks at the photo in the article it looks like the guy is holding a painting of somebody with long hair. I say it is a figure of the Christ. That must be the icon. So Saint Putin did not send a picture of himself. Not really sure if Saint Putin even knows about this. We must not eliminate the possibility that this is a trick of Mr. Ambassador to get on Russia Today, be seen by Saint Putin and get a promotion to some other (better) job. Example, Assistant Director of Southwestern Affairs Department (AD SAD). Maybe get an office with a view on the Red Plaza, or whatever it is called now. Or become ambassador to France or Germany or some other important country. That would be a good career jump. After all, don't you have the feeling that the ambassadors we get in our little forgotten corner of the world are those who couldn't get to the top of the class? Therefore their career ambitions are unfulfilled? I do..

um, Lenard?

You're right, of course. The bible does say that. But, you're Catholic, aren't you? Catholics are just as idolatrous as Orthodox. You don't really see a sculpture of a hanging body, otherwise knows as a crucifix much in the orthodox world, but you see it everywhere in Catholic countries.
(Danilo, 17 December 2011 15:42) No I'm not Catholic or any man made clergy Catholic or the many ism ,the bible is plain. What man made religiosity spews out and what Gods word the bible says is two different beliefs opposite polls just read the bible for your self what a difrence. For the crucifix is another idolatry or Jesus portrayed as a baby always. He is more then a finite human mind can phantom or can comprehend the infinite God and his power. Deu 5:8 "You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below.

An equivalent holy Icon for Kosovo's Albanians is a US one dollar bill. Apparently crime, drugs, fast cars, and money is Albanian religion. I'm sure Hillary delivered a few icons to the Albanians recently, or they may have stolen them like they did George Bush's watch.

With all the news about the Russians sending aide, it is embarrassing that some people are ready to forget all that when it comes with a gesture like this. Should this news report have to include a reminder about all the aide that went along with it? I don't think so.

The icon must be a painting of Putin that the Serbs have to bow down to and kiss then again Serbia is full of Idolatress Serbian Orthodox icons .Lev 26:1 "'Do not make idols or set up an image or a sacred stone for yourselves, and do not place a carved stone in your land to bow down before it. I am the LORD your God. Deu 27:15 "Cursed is the man who carves an image or casts an idol a thing detestable to the LORD, the work of the craftsman's hands." Then all the people shall say, "Amen!"
