Again, its not the 'USA and Kosovo' signing these agreements but rather USA and Albanian separatists..and signing it on who's behalf? Everything related to culture in Kosovo belongs to Serbs. Anything related to drugs, organs and child prostitutes belongs to the Albanians.

Serbs are the most tolerant society in the Balkans, and Serbia is full of minorities who are treated with complete equal rights. Willi, there is no hatred in Dragan's comments but yours. Have you ever been to Serbia? if you were you will see many different nationalisties cohabiting together, no problem with the exception of KLA controlled Kosovo. In my neighbourhood in New belgrade there are over a dozen different nationalities. Me a Slovene and I live with my parents and brother. My boss in work is Serb as are many of my friends. my mechanic a Croat, big Partizan fan too :) I drink in a bar run by a Bosniak and I eat a burek nearly everyday for breakfast prepared from a kiosk by a Macedonian, A gypsy guy comes by and does odd jobs in my apartment block. I have a K-Albanian neighbour who I consider one of my best friends. Hey we even got Chinese people :) I know a couple of Arab guys here. Eveybody knows me and knows them. there is no problems, no hatred. Only violence you get here are from football hooligans. However any time I go to Split to see a friend I get some problems. Last time my windshield was smashed and I got into a fight in a bar all because of the plates on my car and when I talk. I admit my Partizan sticker on my fender did not help.

I would recommend that you visit Novi Sad too. You will be surprised how tolerant and easygoing Serbia is. Stop reading the crap in Die Welt and Bild and experience Serbia for yourself. I give you my own personal experience.

I wonder if this also covers preserving the historical center of Prizren, which many Albanians are upset about supporting because of the role the SPC will be given in preserving its monuments. Will they at least be insured the next time someone steals the tiles off the roof? :)

Don't know why some serbs are so upset by this deal? By doing this America has highlighted the situation of serb churches and monasteries across Kosovo. In 1912 serbian ocupation of kosovo was for pure political and economical reasons this can justify not only ocupation of kosovo proper but more parts of albania and massacre of local population to chnage ethinc background of region before london conference 1913.
Serbs were never majority in kosovo after 1912 for the fact that state of serbia had so many attempts to colonize kosovo with serbs but their atmpts were only partialy sucesful, if kosovo had mojority serb population colonizing with more serbs probably by now we will not had any albaniasn there,

Have to agree some with 'icj1'. Very few KFOR units emerged with any credibility during March 2004, US forces was one of them. If my memory serves well, I believe they managed to penetrate as far as Vucitrn until prevented by French KFOR from advancing further, who assured the US contingent that they had everything under control!

All through history serbs have been ethnicly cleansed by albanians and turks from their land the same way you bloodthirsty germans were ethnicly cleansing poles in eastern poland for centuries.POles were lucky to get opportunity to ethincly re-cleanse those territories and push you ethernal troblemakers the inside enemy of Europe behind Odera river .Unfortunatelly serbs have been denied this oppurtunity by western hypocrats for several times but morally they have right to liberate their land and kick the albanian criminals and bootlickers back to Turkey using exactly the same methods albanians used to cleanse them.You cannot liberate your land with soft tools and treat the occupiars in humane way.However I am not disillusioned regarding future.AS long as there are germans in Europe there will always be problems and similarly as long as there are traces of osman imperialism on the balkans there will never be peace over there.

Serbian grandmothers get attacked by albanian youths when they hear them speaking Serbian. In Croatia they still hold Nazi concerts and celebrate a genocide as a national holiday. I do not understand many serbian posters on this site they write about history something that is not suported by any forein study, they only like to say Albanians have to go back to Turkey because that is where they come from, and there is lot of histrical facts that Albanias been in balkan long time before Turkish ocupation I will take one excample 11th centry albanian principality of Arta.
In 1912 serbian ocupation of kosovo was for pure political and economical reasons this can justify not only ocupation of kosovo proper but more parts of albania and massacre of local population to chnage ethinc background of region before london conference 1913.
Serbs were never majority in kosovo after 1912 for the fact that state of serbia had so many attempts to colonize kosovo with serbs but their atmpts were only partialy sucesful, if kosovo had mojority serb population colonizing with more serbs probably by now we will not had any albaniasn there,

Willi, there is no hatred in Dragan's comments but yours. Have you ever been to Serbia? if you were you will see many different nationalisties cohabiting together, no problem with the exception of KLA controlled Kosovo. In my neighbourhood in New belgrade there are over a dozen different nationalities. Me a Slovene and I live with my parents and brother. My boss in work is Serb as are many of my friends. my mechanic a Croat, big Partizan fan too :) I drink in a bar run by a Bosniak and I eat a burek nearly everyday for breakfast prepared from a kiosk by a Macedonian, A gypsy guy comes by and does odd jobs in my apartment block. I have a K-Albanian neighbour who I consider one of my best friends. Hey we even got Chinese people :) I know a couple of Arab guys here. Eveybody knows me and knows them. there is no problems, no hatred. Only violence you get here are from football hooligans. However any time I go to Split to see a friend I get some problems. Last time my windshield was smashed and I got into a fight in a bar all because of the plates on my car and when I talk. I admit my Partizan sticker on my fender did not help.

I would recommend that you visit Novi Sad too. You will be surprised how tolerant and easygoing Serbia is. Stop reading the crap in Die Welt and Bild and experience Serbia for yourself. I give you my own personal experience.

Theres NO comparing the USA to Serbia. Serbia has been around since the 14th century and the USA has been around for about 250 years! Look at what America has achieved at home and in the world. Don't know why some serbs are so upset by this deal? By doing this America has highlighted the situation of serb churches and monasteries across Kosovo. America has recognized Kosovo so its natural that they turn to Pristina. Joe Biden did a similar thing in the past where he warned albanians not to desecrate and vandalize these places of worship. After all, albanians wouldn't dare to upset the hand that feeds them.

Albanians trying to rewrite history and call Serbian Orthodox sites "Byzantine Illyrian"? If it's all of the above, then yes it is a step in the right direction since the individual selected to be president of Kosovo by the US Ambassador has now signed a binding agreement with the US to no longer use these sites of cultural heritage as places for Albanians to vent their anger against.

I wonder if this also covers preserving the historical center of Prizren, which many Albanians are upset about supporting because of the role the SPC will be given in preserving its monuments. Will they at least be insured the next time someone steals the tiles off the roof? :)

Have to agree some with 'icj1'. Very few KFOR units emerged with any credibility during March 2004, US forces was one of them. If my memory serves well, I believe they managed to penetrate as far as Vucitrn until prevented by French KFOR from advancing further, who assured the US contingent that they had everything under control!
