This is not a wish concert. It is up to those countries whom they grant visa free regime and whom not. This case proves so much that instead of pursing the real needs of Serbian people, Belgrade wastes energy in useless and already lost fights such as Kosovo. Otherwise, what the hell is Jeremic doing in Asia when this threat is so imminent? I tell you why. Because this arrogant fool does not have to live with his failure. He has his cushy chairs all over the worlds, he has the money to bypass the problems ordinary Serbian citizens cannot. He is now the leader of the Serbian tennis association, so that he can shake hands with Nole in his domicile in Monte Carlo while families in Serbia have to live with 300 Euro per month.

Let me reword my comment to the trolls on this site, 'European integration' has brought nothing but short term temporary benefits to Eastern Europe other than visa free travel throughout Europe.

Why not have a broaden Europe wide free trade and visa free agreement with all European countries including Russia, Belarus and Ukraine as well as the Balkans..without this single currency and un-elected awkward freaks like Van-Rompuy in charge of over 500 million people.

Ari Russia, BeloRussia and Ukraina are never going to get free travel reasons:

1) Ukraine was on path to be closer to EU but due to change in gov. and moving closer to Russia now it has no chance.

2) Belorussia is poor and most people there have legitimet cases for Asylum so you will have a huge influx they have a tyrant leading that country.

3) Russia as a country is in contradiction with European values people living in East especially Poland do not want anything to do with Russia as well they are part of NATO that for whatever reason does not like to give Russia any advantage.

You see Russia has tried to be European country but its not it, russians like to be ruled by iron fist where Europeans like to talk and solve problems

If that happens then the only good achievement for Serbia would have been taken away. How pathetic that Jeremic, who calls himself chief diplomat, is nowhere. This would be his tombstone in his political career.

You are either blind or simply short-minded. This has nothing to do with being part of the EU. There are plenty of countries world wide where you can enter the EU without a visa. With the visa free regime removed, Serbia would be once again cut off from the biggest market world wide and with the by far biggest trade partner of Serbia. That would have tremendous impact in Serbia, both, economically and socially. I wouldn't take this easy. This is serious and the final confirmation that the whole Serbian foreign policy, whether it is internal or foreign, failed.

Hello, Serbia, wake up please, the EU does not want you as a member. Do you need to be hit on the head with a hammer? Give the EU the finger, like you should have years ago, and go your own way. Your comment reveals a confusion a lot of people have, particularly people not living in Europe.

"Europe", is three separate, but related things: The EU, The Schengen Area, The Euro.

The EU: trade harmonization. free movement of goods.
Schengen: free movement of people
Euro: common currency.

"The EU", isn't actually what gives people visa-free travel, it's the Schengen Agreement.

The problem lies not within the western Balkan countries but in the fact that the countries mentioned offer atleast 6 months paid wellfare and school for the children while the asylants cases are under investigation. Cut that time down to 2 weeks and there will be no more "asylum tourists"
Roma people from Serbia might get Romanian passports and Roma from FYROM will get Bulgarian ones, but that is not former YU states problems and they should not be punished for that.

Wouldn't it be better to change the rules for asylum seeking and send the few back home where they belong. It's ludicrous to make the innocent people and the whole of the Balkans pay the price for a small minority. Isn't it funny how the same countries cry time and time again. After all we do live in the 21st Century! When travel is a way of life for most and deprives very few.

1.) Serbia's real curse is its rampant Nationalism and Clerical-fascism which is actually the main reason for all suffering in the Balkans during the last 2 centuries. Without Serbs, it would be very peaceful in the Balkans.

2.) The one who abused the VISA free regime were primarily Romas who were partially traveling in full buses.

??? you seem to miss my point: I did not speak anything about wars Russia or EU has done they all have their share. I Said Russians like to be Ruled by Iron fist (meaning people in Russia). When i go there and ask about Putin they all say we dont know any better this is how we been ruled and it works for us.

In Europe they have learned from the past Look at Scandinavian countries they are most Democratic Social countries on earth they are decedent of Vikings.

I think Balkans need the same do they want to learn how to move forward like Scandinavians or France/Germany or be like Russians and enjoy a police force that breaks their teeth for confession.
