Are people really too lazy to look up the rights under the ECHR and international law that asylum seekers are allowed? They have the right to a fair and speedy process. Few EU countries can manage this and different EU countries have different rules. This is why Belgium is very popular with asylum seekers as they are much more lenient (for example, Be has a very high number of asylum seekers from Chechnya and Ingushetia).

The Commission and Council have proposed and EU 'Blue Card' system based on the US' 'Green Card' system but as is the case with anything EU, infighting and national grandstanding come first. It is even harder now that many more fascists have become MPs in their home countries.

I'll give you and example of this EU BS. Passengers travelling from Bruxelles to London have to go through UK border control at Gare-Midi. Passengers are rarely checked on arrival at St. Pancras. There is a loop-hole. The Eurostar stops in Lille, France and let's passengers on. There is no UK border control in Lille. The French say "It has nothing to do with us as we have to allow the free movement of goods, services and eu citizens within Schengen". The UK is not in Schengen. As most asylum seekers in France are on their way to the UK, the french government(s) have done very little until fairly recently to control camps of asylum seekers who have set up around Calais and nearby. Problem solved for the french no?

The great minds in Brussels have tied both Pristina and Belgrade together because otherwise it would cause a division in the wrong part of the Balkans. No EU for Serbia, no EU for the albanians in Kosovo. Visas on Belgrade cannot be imposed without also blocking Pristina etc. The one thing stopping Pristina from facing immense pressure to clean itself up is precisely Belgrade's refusal to accept Brussels dictates. If Kosovo was recognized, then the countdown on Thaci's mafiadom and all that entails will start. Brussels will not make exceptions for Pristina, regardless. So stop whining you albos, the Serbs are doing you and Thaci a favor. Serbia also has much more time on its hands politically and economically than Pristina does.

I do not understand how difficult is for the EU to send back all these so-called asylum seekers and banning them to enter the EU countries for at least 10 years especially for citizens from Albania abusing the asylum system nowdays. These so-called asylumseekers do not give a damn penalising the whole society why should the EU give a damn to them? I am a bit concerned that the EU is more concerned how to collect more money by the citizens of Balcans when applying for visa. At the end of the day EU is in financial crisis.
