I read this strong article using a very close eye.

Gee, as I understand it, a "brave human rights crusader" from Croatia is being marginalized, silenced in Croatia after all these many years.

Majić sustained injuries that apparently left him disabled because he informed the public about the crimes committed against Serb civilians and prisoners in the Split-based prison camp Lora.

Because of his long-lasting investigation and his mailing of torn pieces of the Croatian flag, Zagreb District Court recently issued an order demanding Majić have a psych eval.

The NGO claims that this psych eval is being done to marginalize and silence Majića.

I don't falsely claim to be a journalist and a hypocritical one, at that. I don't label everyone nor do I promote collective guilt. I do claim to be a human being who believes in justice for all, regardless of their ethnicity.

-NGOs believe that Tonči Majić deserves respect and protection because he was brave enough to come forth and actively confront violation of human rights in Split in the 1990's, because of his long-lasting investigation into war crimes committed against civilians and prisoners of war in the military research center in Lora and because of the efforts he invested into ensuring that the crimes are prosecuted. -

This is an amazingly strong article about a brave human rights crusader (i'm assuming the details are all true) and stands in such utter contrast to how similar serbian human rights crusaders are dealt with here. not. silence. marginalized. their attempts to secure justice from former war crimes kept under wraps. all of the war crimes and cover-ups kept under wraps. thousands of war criminals harbored and protected...

so that is some powerful contradiction.

i would look at that, with a very close eye...

the truth of the worst of the war crimes has yet to surface, publicly, and there is a journalistic responsibility to the truth. hello!! and when it does all come out, we will look back to these days and say: what took so d--n long. just as we did w/ the "discovery" of karadzic, mladic and their ilk. what took so friggin long!

Oh who cares if he's nuts? Once you are in the EU's craddle, like America's, you are fine until proven nuts, and that is a tough task. Anyway, I am sure this man is fine by EU standards, because nut cases like Sarkosy, Merkel, and former Italiano Mr. B are totally sane. Never mind that the EU is going down the toilet. Thank you Britain for a whiff of fresh air.
