SARAJEVO -- The U.S. Embassy in Sarajevo deems that "nothing can change the fact that Serb Republic (RS) is a part of Bosnia-Herzegovina".

The Russian Embassy in Belgrade deems "nothing can change the fact that Kosovo (KS) is a part of Serbia"

But, for both, keep in mind: Never say never

The US embassy personel in Sarajevo has just won the first prize in a geographical popquiz!

Its completely true that Republika Srpska is part of the geographical territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina. No politics is going to change that RS lays where it lays, part in Bosnia and the south eastern part in Hercegovina. Trebinje is main town in Hercegovina and Banja Luka in Bosnia.
BUT it is not sure that its going to stay part of the countryu of REPUBLIC OF BOSNIA AND HERCEGOVINA for long, that can change.

What will the embassy say when white al-queda, recruited in Bosnia take part in a large scale european bombing? There is only so much they can cover up of Sarajevo's links to global terrorism. They've already had their embassy shot up by one.

America should accept the "reality on the ground". If Kosovo can go then so can Republika Srpska, and it will.

the funny thing is the american flag was with th RS flag and not bosnian at the meeting and again when the EU had a meeting it was the EU flag and the RS flag ,thats what it says in the article so in my mind and many others RS is almost independant and it has its own borders and border police and has its own president and parliment buildings with only serb flags hmm i say america is just telling what the bosnians want to here and arent most bosniaks just converted serbs anyway about 75% of them.

Bosnia will not reward murderers of its people with its own land, very land Bosnians died over so dont get your hopes up if serb nationalist didnt post our flag on table. That is old news and Bosnia is use to it. We are sovereign ex Yugoslav state Bosnia, we will keep it sovereign. Serb nationalists shouldnt relax as they cant afford such luxury as a separate state candidate for "greater Serbia", Dodik is number one target if some attempt to distabilize Bosnia starts.

That statement is completely clear and not open to question. bosnia is one country, and rs is just the name of the section of Bosnia founded on genocide (and in denial of it.)

i completely understand that some bosnians want to live in serbia. and there are very good bus lines to take them str8t to belgrade, i've taken the route myself many a time. not too expensive.

There are many forms of terrorism- moslem terrorists don't have a monopoly on cruelty and violence- RS an artificial conglomeration born from cruelty and violence is one example- organised crime is but another. Condemn one condemn all.

This statement is so funny when the US/EU met with these people there was the situation where “the flags of the U.S. and the RS were on the table, and during the talks with Sorensen the EU and the RS flags”. Dodik is known to walk up to a table and pick up the BiH flags and throw them out the window.
Now who does not think that the US/EU looks stupid making this statement and yet they met with RS with only the flag on the table belonging to RS???????
I have said it many times over the years while the EU funds RS the status quo will remain, but as soon as these funds are reduced or cut then bye, bye BiH to the dustbin of history

I can see where RS fits into the picture here and when it leaves BiH it will join Serbia, but what is Kosovo going to do? Join with Albania? I doubt it very much as the Albania does not have the resources to build up its own economy let alone development Kosovo – it would be very much like West Germeny pouring billions inot East Germeay after the reunification with little to show for all its efforts. But Albania does not have the luxury of those huge reserves and itv would become even poorer than before if it tried.
This is on the assumption terh EU goes incasne and allows the unification with Albania which it never will.
RS will only enhance Serbia’s efforts towards economic expansion, but Kosovo will not do the same for Albania.

I was in Sarajevo in 1970, 1975, 1987 and then started coming regularly since 2001. In the last decade it was more curiosity to see how things change.
Your words “your 9th century future with your gulf arab brothers” does not do it justice now. I honestly thought I was in Yemen with women wearing the hijab and some even the Burka and those baggy pants which they call dimije.
I thought to myself what a tragedy to see what was once the most educated and advanced Muslims revert to the later part of the first millemnia.
