Mircea is a man called "homo europeanus". He is part of those brainwashed people who don't have a country, he's an "european citizen". What does that mean? Nobody knows...
It's a fiction, just like the "homo sovieticus" in the past. It sickens me that there are people who are ready to spit on their heritage and culture for an abstraction. What is Europe?

Why doesnt "Europe" pay for the mistakes of the "euro-politicians"? Instead, I see that not "european citizens", but french, polish, romanian people pay through their NATIONAL STATES.

European Union is a catastrophic mistake.

P.S. Mircea's former nationality is Romanian.

@ Zoran -Croatia belongs in the EU and the EU can be proud to admit this country. One that committed genocide during its formation for the second time in history, with the help of Germany.

Comments like Zoran's prove that Serbia is still in denial about it's past in regards to massacres by its citizens on non Serbs in the Balkan region in the 90's, instead blame the Croats. If the Croats are so evil why is Europe eager for Croatia to jump on board--why because Croatia is moving forward while Serbia keeps looking back to a past that no one even cares about. If Serbia keeps acting the way it does towards it's neighbours especially Kosova it will'NEVER' be accepted as a European partner.

Where is the shame for Croatia's pathetic history? Born out of fascism and no obvious regrets for the national arrogance? A false sense of superiority now validated by being allowed into the EU too early.

Personally, I would rather they had been kept out. I don't like what their flag represents and I will be ashamed when I see it flying in Europe.

The famous german exports. Then all you need to do is balance it against the hundreds of billions of european debt bought by german banks over the years. Don't mention the debt that many german lander own. Time is even ticking for Germany. The export boom cannot last an the contraction will be painful.

With this statement alone you have just proven that you are no Pommy.
You see a Brit has no reason to hate Greece and love Croatia.
Why are you so ashamed to to tell the truth?
(Peggy, 10 December 2011 05:17)

I don't hate Greece or Greeks, I was just joking about economics.

Also you know sweet FA about British-Greek social/ political relations.

Mircea, I am not so sure that the Union will survive in its present form at all...
I really hope that Nicholas "shorty" Sarkozy and Frau Merkel will fail to get a economic solution for the Euro crisis. Theu Euro currency will go down the drain next year.
It will be perfect, Greece and Spain among others will come out debt clean and start all over again, and Germany and France will be bancrupt and loose all influence they have over the south today (hopefully)

So, in other words, serbs, don't mess with Europe which u don't belong to...and try to get a life...long-term frustration causes various diseases...LOL

(Mike, 9 December 2011 17:41) Mike don't worry for time in Zagreb worry for the time when they raise the German flag over Belgrade Serbia. Either way we are heading in to a time never paralleled or experienced in history. This is what God says Mat 24:21 For then there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now--and never to be equaled again Mat 24:22 If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened.

The Croat president said that the signing of the Accession Treaty was just as important as Croatia’s independence. He added that Croatia was the first country that had been through a war before joining the EU. What a moron no comparison of independence freedom and in joining a bankrupt undemocratic the emerging of a forth Reich union http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UGA5SsrfJkE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T7d30KgFe7M&feature=related. “Croatia is not handing over its hard-won sovereignty to the Union, it’s investing it in the EU,” Josipović said. Throw the Croatian political bums out they will be the biggest welfare bums recipients and traitors to Croatian hard won independence truly a pathetic greedy political asses class.

That is unusual 100% backing from the Germans to join.
I wonder why?
The quicker the EU collapses the better, bring it on.
The world will still revolve and survive.

They have also done Serbia a favour by making them wait, who wants to join
a bankrupt, corrupt group of countries run by the Germans anyway.
