Tadic should immediately announce his intention to resign if Serbia is not given EU candidate status tomorrow. Anything short of EU candidate status is a complete failure of his policy. Leave the EU to understand that its decision will have consequences and that Serbia will not go to the EU on her knees but with her head held high.

We already get funding from the EU. We don't need to join. It's a lie. The EU is weak & they will not focus any of their money on newcomers.

Germany hates us and they are in charge at the moment.

There are other constructive measures to build our economy. There are other markets to explore and bolster.

Trade agreements with other countries are available. The current government focuses all their attention on the EU while no attention is being given to any BRICS' countries.

The world is a big place. I just got back from Brasil and the country is booming. Yes they have poverty, more so than Serbia, but their general economy is growing rapidly.

We need to focus some of our attention on other economies.

"Boris Tadić would not give his consent to something which would undermine the country's territorial integrity" ???
He DID, all the long of his mandate !
Is Dacic stupid or blinded by the "gifts" he received?

According to him, without progress towards the EU, "there is a large risk of Serbia entering a process in which conservative forces, which tend to use nationalism as a weapon, could become the key political factor again."

Be sure Europe won't make the same mistake again of not stopping a nationalist extremist Serbia when it tries to start another war right on time. So, nationalists getting into power in Serbia will only hurt the country itself - 5 more wasted years of stagnation and isolation. But then, probably the people will finally be cured of nationalism when their personal situation deteriorates.

"...and pointed out that Serbian President Boris Tadić would not give his consent to something which would undermine the country's territorial integrity."

Stick to that and forget about EU and Kosovo for the rest of our lives. Russia of Vladimir Putin is looking forward to welcoming Serbia in Russian Federation.
