"Never worked in the history before but maybe Serbia is a special case?"

There is not one, single example on the planet where a government telecom monopoly was privatized and the marketplace deregulated that didn't result in much cheaper calls for customers. Not one.

f this is the price for EU membership, then we are better off out. Democratic control by the workers is the only way. Vulture Capitalists, Hands off our resources!!

Bekim,

This is the Zeitgeist now: neo-liberal rape of the country, and "get rich quick if you have the proper connections". Serbia is behind Hungary on that and here we know what is the price: few people driving very fancy black SUV-s and many people very-very poor, very-very angry and hating their own country.

Now... surprise (NOT!) the entire E.U. is going in the same direction but it does not have to be that way, it has nothing to do with the E.U. per se. This is what certain economic schools do teach in the States and obviously way to many euro-bureaucrats did get some sort of MBA degree in the States. They also probably got some sort of lobotomy because they did not notice, they want to implement ideas what already failed in the States.

In any case this is what people love the neo-s so much for. In the old times the traditional name of that kind of behavior was "THIEF". Now, the thieves have new names: "neo-con" or "neo-liberal".

The traditionally-liberals or traditionally-conservatives just scratch their head because all this has nothing to do with either conservative or liberal approach, it's just state-sponsored rape of the country.

All people of Serbia must resist the selling off of our state resources. Note to President Tadic; These are our public companies and belong to all of us, not just your cronies who will pick them up for next to nothing. We must resist the neo-liberal programme that will strip and destroy Serbia. The workers in JAT, especially must know what is in store for them if they dont resist.

If this is the price for EU membership, then we are better off out. Democratic control by the workers is the only way. Vulture Capitalists, Hands off our resources!!

Tadić believes this would render the country's telecommunications giant "market-oriented and competitive".

Berisha Tadiqi goes into right step: railway, telecom, JAT, healthcare, education all should become market-oriented and competitive.... to fill pockets of few and empty pockets of many and ultimately to ruin the country.

Never worked in the history before but maybe Serbia is a special case?
