"No loss" if Serbia is denied EU candidate status

Kostunica should be President of Serbia. Unlike Tadic, he doesn't where his emotions on his sleeve. "EU except us if you will, if not, so be it." The more desparate the Serbian governement looks to join the EU the more pressure and conditions the EU exerts.

He is on the right track.

Unless Serbia is prepared to recognize Kosovo as an independent state, then there is no point in applying to join the EU. This will be a major sticking point from all the EU countries who recognized Kosovo.

So, giving up Mladic and Hadzic was essentially for nothing (since Serbs consider these two to be war heroes for some odd reason).

Milosevic and Yeltsin are dead. It is no longer 1999 , America and the EU are now bankrupt and you are living in the past. Americans are tired of Albanian jihadists and have not a penny left to give them. Kostunica recognizes the situation is now very different; Tadic is living in a childish dream about an imaginary "West" that will save him.

While most Albanians drive western cars - unfortunately, most of them are stolen and brought to Albania and Kosovo. Somehow amusing that even state officials were stopped at the borders because they were traveling with stolen cars.

That's why Kostunica lost Kosovo ?

Icj, a little history. Kosovo was occupied by NATO during the Milosevic regime. The war was exclusively won by the United States Air Force. The US Air Force is now grounded and Kosovo is not "lost". Milosevic and Yeltsin are dead. It is no longer 1999 , America and the EU are now bankrupt and you are living in the past. Great, Serbs are doing better than the Albanians. That's a great achievement to be happy for :) Albanians are also happy that they are doing better than, say, Burundi... that's also a great achievement to be proud of
