Regardless of the agreement on joint border control, there are worrying tones in the statements of the Serb mayors in northern Kosovo, Spindelegger said....I guess until all Serbs in N. KiM start wearing t-shirts that read "I love Albanians", the Germans (aka Austrians) will not be happy with Serbs. But please, this is just a farce the floundering EU is playing. They hold emergency meeting after meeting trying to find ways to keep the EU itself from imploding, and they speak of Serbia's candidate status - please! Personally, I would never wear such a T-shirt, but I do would one that says "Kosovo Je Srbija"..

OK,its time to go on the offensive. Serbia is always on the back foot having to fulfill whatever conditions the Euros might dream up tomorrow.

Serbia should pick the field of battle. She has to create her media storm. She should focus her attention on the human rights issues in Albanian led Kosovo. She should point out the corruption, the failure to encourage returnees to return, intimidation, the ghettoisation of the Serbian community south of the Ibar. Turn the screw on criminal investigations into her leaders. And while doing this she should persistently demand that the French, Germans and British publicly condemn the above. Demand pressure be put on Pristina to fulfill her obligations as a multi-ethnic state. We all know they will fail to meet their obligations and then the heat will be on them.

The Euros will not be able to ignore the abuse of human rights, corrupt police and desecration of graves and churches if the Serbian delegations persistently raise it as an issue. And if they do continue to focus statements on human rights eventually this topic will become a part of the media story, putting pressure on the Euros to put pressure on their criminal puppets in Kosovo south of the Ibar.

Tadic has hardly ever pointed out the Albanian's obvious weaknesses -crime, discrimination, race hate, segregation. Come on Tadic pull your finger out, make them squirm.

They lifted the visa regime to you although you have over 250km of border that is disputed and controled oustide the standards that viza-liberalization regime would require.

You will now get the candidate member status although everyone knows very well that you don't fulfill those standards.

I repeat no other country has had such huge immense discounts as Serbia has had from EU.

Not to forget that in the past 10 years Serbia has had from EU financial aids (non refundable) of over 4.5 bn €. US has transferd non refund financial aids to serbia in the last 10yrs of 2.5bn USD. Germany alone over 1.1bn€ and so one.

Jus for comparison Albania in the last 20 years (not 10ys as in Serbian case) has received non refund financial aid from EU not more than 3.2bn€.

No other country in Weurope has had the priviledges from the EU as Serbia has. NO ONE.

I'm sick of this EU hypocrizy and double standards.

They have the candidate status agreement for Albania in their shelf for over 2 years now and do not sign it becaouse of Albanian internal political disputes only which are kids problem compared with the one the Serbia has.

I don't understand why poltiicans in Tirana are that stupid not to make it open his hypocrisy to the opinion?? why we Albanians feel teh need to behave as good boys all the time??? why not be honest and say things clearly???

The day Serbia joins E.U. Is the day Serbs are not Serbs any more.

And even then when Serbia is in EU, the mess these politicians created since the break up of YU will not be solved immediately, but will take much time!
So why waiting to join if you can start right now with changes.

Deliver Milosevic to Hague, and you will immediately become a candidate. Then another condition, and then another... Finally, EU have put it's foot down - "Complete cooperation with Hague (Mladic) and no new conditions will be made".

Don't you worry. It won't stop there. After Tadic recognizes Kosovo, Vojvodina will declare independence, Sandjak should have autonomy, etc.

Let me understand what this new thing means.

With your 'facts' of EU financial aid, you say Serbia received 4.5 billion Euros and Albania only 3.2 billion.

If you look at that funding on a per capita basis then you get approximately 638 euros per Serbian and 1070 euros per Albanian.

They have to do a little something so Serbs don't give up and therefore won't do their bidding, so they make a new process for Serbia.

Why would it ever make Serbia a member when it can get all it wants from Serbia when it is not a member?

Will all these new (and old) agreements be canceled if no date is given, therefore putting the blame firmly on the Germans? It could get very nasty very quickly. There was exactly this kind of attempt on dehumanization of the counterpart that led to terrible events of 90's as a result of which Serbia was punished. Get some information man, you will see that Albania has very sound banking system. When you refer to pyramid schemes that were present in 1995, 1996 and 1997, why don't you see Serbia first. Back then Serbia was the first on that kind of stuff. Dafiment and Yugoscandic were known for those fraudulent schemes. When you refer on criminality why don't you want to see what happens in Belgrade daily. You wish Albania was forgotten country, but information is everywhere that proves your wishes are only wishes.

It is always a very slippery trick that your enemies pull when they announce that the things you are doing already are what they are making you do against your own interests. Certainly this is what the EU candidacy is about. Serbia has already been going full steam trying to prove itself worthy of economic partnership with its friends throughout Europe and Russia too. These efforts aren't going to contradict membership in the EU, but Serbia doesn't need EU standards or orders to make them. And so the EU tries to confuse Serbia away from its own economic and geopolitical interests by enfranchising these efforts as efforts for EU candidacy, something the EU is not sincere about.

Serbia is ready for EU candidacy. It is ready for EU membership. It is a better candidate than many who are already members. It's membership could influence the EU for the better against those forces tearing in down and turning it into a ghetto. Imagine a term of presidency in the EU from Serbia. But we are not talking about membership yet, just candidacy and now they want to create a special candidacy that is "frozen". Just to stick whole thing under the carpet. Nobody is fooled.

As I see you love Albanian people, cause you want Kosova included in Serbia, that mean 2 million Albanian people included in Serbia that means that Serbia will be no more Serbian state but Serbian-Albanian state. There is no question that the West wants Serbia destroyed in a Systematic way. Washington DC, Brussels, and Berlin have a plan for Serbia. They have there boy Tadic in there to implement there plan. The first plan is to join the EU and they will tell Serbia to forget about Kosovo. They will also tell serbia to open its borders for millions of 3rd world immigrants thus weakening there national identity. Finally Serbia will be required to join Nato to join U.S. operations in Afhganistan.

Albanians never "sided" with nazis en masse. It was a fraction of people ( about 200 in total) who I think were taken out of prison to join some sort of Nazi "army".
By the way look at Croatia. They sided with Nazis, but look at them now.
