I think it is better to wait for the "original text" to be available before making an assumption. Any deals with the separatists in pristina and its EU backers should be "reviewed and ratified" by the Serbian parliament before calling it an agreement. Anyway the parliament is more credible than Tadic and Mr. Negotiator.

The blatant refusal of Russia to grant citizenship to Kosovo Serbs was the ultimate insult to Serbia and its people, once again proving that Russia does not care about or respect Serbia. Perhaps, the Kosovo Serbs should apply for Chinese citizenship.

Exactly who is going to lend the EU the money and troops it does not have for a new war in Kosovo even if anyone was slightly interested? Not the Americans. Not the Russians. Not the Chinese. The agreement calls for Serbian financial officers and police as per 1244. A financial officer gathers and analyzes data, does financial planning and record keeping and need data from customs which require Serbian customs on the border with Albania. The agreement doesnt mention revenue from Serbian checkpoints, means that Pristina is not making money on tarrifs at either. No other independent state works like this! But its in Serbs interest to confuse Albanians this way.

What, having KFOR and the MUP control border crossings while the Albanians sit there as observers isn't good enough? Don't these people have their lives to get back to?

Serbs are so smart that continue to destroy their own arguments, for example;

- Serbia's main argument was that Kosovo's UDI was against international law. Then brilliant Vuk goes to the ICJ and destroys Serbia's main argument;

- Serbia's argument was that they had a strong support in the UNSG against Kosovo's independence. Then little Vuk goes to the UNSG and gets a resolution which acknoledges the ICJ's decision and does not call for any discussions about status;

- Serbs argument was that Russia is so interested about Kosovo. Them some brilliant 22.000 Serbs go and ask for Russia citizenship so that Russia can get a foothold in Kosovo and force Russia to explicitly deny them showing to everybody how much Russia cares about Kosovo.

Smart people make sure that the outcome of an initiative will be in their interest, otherwise they don't undertake the initiative at all. Serbs should have first received guarantees by Russia that their citizenship applications would have been approved, before making the move and forcing Russia to show to everybody how much it cares about Kosovo. If anybody cared about what Russia thinks about Kosovo, would now care even less.

Once again, the Serbs are showing their merit. Tadic and Steponovic say that the agreement only allows "dysfunctional" Albanian observers at the borders. Serbs will remain in an official capacity along with EULEX. "Dysfunctional" role can only mean the Albanians will have absolutely no official capacity. No doubt it is more work that Albanian border workers will do at any of the Kosovo borders that are controlled by Albanians. And it should be remembered that no matter what the Serbs do in the North, at this point, Albanian border control at other Kosovo borders is not going to change. Without Serbian control of borders between Kosovo and Albania, Kosovo will never be in Serbian hands.

And now we see that Serbs in Northern Kosovo aren't going to buy this agreement until they review it themselves. And if they reject it, they will do so for good reason, just as they have been conducting themselves all along. Tadic and Steponovic will be exposed and be obliged to explain themselves. If it is good, they will make whatever accomodations they decide, including removing the barriers. They will remain in control of the situation just in case Pristina decides to leverage the changes against the agreement like they do other agreements now. We can see that Pristina is not to be trusted. The barriers can always go up again and they can make sure that they remain in a position to do so.

Either way, accept or reject the agreement, this is an achievement and a milestone.

But they did want to move to Russia because 22.000 K. Serbs applied for Russian citizenship. That means that they want to reside to Russia and to waive Serbia and Kosovo’s citizenship as required by Russia citizenship law.

My point is the same as always. Nothing has changed.

Let me start with congratulating all the Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija on their heroic and dignified struggle for freedom in face of overwhelming adversaries and gross injustices. Let us remind ourselves that all what the Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija (i.e. Serbian Orthodox church’s land) struggle for is to remain in their country of birth, which happens to be Serbia. The only thing that the Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija reject is the authority of bandits who run so-called Albanian self-proclaimed independent Kosovo.
What is the most remarkable about this Serbian struggle is that Albanians have killed over a thousand of Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija already since 1999 under watch of NATO and not a single murderer has been convicted. Despite this, the Western governments, but in particular the US and the leading EU (read German + Austria) governments still try to portray the Serbs as criminals. Such an attitude by Germany is not a surprising – in fact Germany has consistently been anti-Serb (for example, Germany was the first to recognise independence of Slovenia and Croatia, the first to recognise so-called independent Albanian Kosovo ; if we go back to the history Germany committed genocide against Serbs in WWII, while Austria did the same in WWI).
On the other side Russians have been consistently on the Serb side, economically, politically and diplomatically, but it has been proven that it is not enough to prevent the extinction of the Serbs from many ex-Yugoslav republics (Croatia, Bosnia and so-called independent Albanian Kosovo).
That is why the Serbs from Kosovo and Metohija deserve a better government in Belgrade than the current treacherous government of Mr Boris Tack and his corrupt cronies. Unfortunately there is not much alternative other than Mr Kostunica who has so far managed to prevent Mr Tadic’s corrupt and hedonistic regime from outright sale of Kosovo Serbs.
