...Serb border police will be placed in borders with Albania, Macedonia and Montenegro!!!

Albanian can't live in Kosovo without placing their Albanisn custom officers in central Serbian-Kosovo border?

It is clearly stated in the agreement that Serbia do not see Kosovo as anything but their province.
(Staff, 4 December 2011 17:09)

And you needed the agreement to discover that Serbia does not recognize Kosovo ?! It's a;ready written in Serbia constitution !

I suggest to everyone that reads this news site , to check BBC news page and learn the truth from the horses mouth, which is Brussels.
(Agim Kelmendi, 4 December 2011 15:58)

Oh the BBC is a reliable source; a government owned and run media group is unbiased!!!! Just like the voice of free Europe is unbiased.
The only horses you see are the ones pulling your plough on stolen land.
For your information Tadic is now a lame duck president. The silly man opened his mouth and now he can’t implement his agreement with the Albanians.
For those who think that force will be used against the Serbs in Northern Kosovo, think again as there are greater forces at play here than one can imagine and their interests lie in keeping the status quo – Kosovo as it stands.
Ahh prison Kosovo continues unabated.

@Staff,

diplomats I spoke today (at lunch) confirmed me quite the opposite:)
(Boss, 4 December 2011 23:21)

No Buzz, you did not spoke at lunch with ANY diplomats today since neither in Brussels, Pristina, Belgrade or any other place for that matter, we eat lunch on a Sunday. I have just come home from DINNER at a place called de Rada in downtown Pristina. Excellent food, wine and atmosphere. Recommended from me to you since you are not so far from here anyway. ;-)

From what I've read, this is exactly what you call "mission creep". So are constant provocations from the K-Albs, KFOR, EULEX, and especially the Germans. If Tadic or Stefanovic think that having Albanians at the two crossings only as "observers" is completely in line with 1244 or the Serbian Constitution, they are wrong! Why not let the Serbian Parliament decide???? What are you afraid of.....perhaps your constituents???

This is good news for Kosova.
Remember ,in the checkpoints with Macedonia,MN and Albania, used to be EULEX and Kosovas Police.Today there are only Kosovas Police in these checkpoints. This is exactly what will happen in very short time ,in these 2 checkpoints in north K. KFOR will stay for a long time in Kosova ,for security purposes, but EULEX will stay there maybe few more years, say 5 more years.
After Eulex lives Kosova, who do you think will be on these checkpoints?
Only Srb police on there site of the border and Kosova police on there site of the border.IT is the same pattern that was used for border with Macedonia,MN and Albania, but with little decorations to close the mouths of Srb "patriots".
Good luck to everyone who lives in Kosova.

You are absolutely right. Serbia won by far this set.
Not 100%, but at least 80.
Diplomats I talked with today agree fully and Serbia have again showed that Kosovo is by no means independent.
It is clearly stated in the agreement that Serbia do not see Kosovo as anything but their province. Also, there is no time limit on this agrement. So, the time will stand still as it has done since 1999 and Kosovo, according to UN, EU, OSCE and the majority of the world, is not more independent than it was a month, a year or a decade ago.
Good work !

grobar1

Its victory for Serbs. Albanians are observers at two checkpoints operated by EULEX and at one checkpoint they operate jointly with EULEX and Serbian officials. They cant use their symbols either. And as mentioned: there is no taxes and duty paid to Pristina on goods from Central Serbia and they must accept Serbian police and financial officers. As an accountant I know what this means: NO INDEPENDENCE. Here in Amsterdam I will enjoy my Rakija with more than tobaco! We won.

Agim, I doubt Brussels is exactly the horse's "mouth" although certain gasses do emanate from Brussels. Who cares? Want something important to think about ? German bond sales. They stalled. When Tadic is removed next year, the EU fantasy will be finally dumped. Albania--which was also never getting in the EU---will have the bear's teeth to deal with not the "horse's" whatever.

Gangsters and criminals should be punished and locked away,as for the independence that was premature, not legal and against the 1244,

Dear Darko, you obviously have been in the dark from news since July 2010. The only law the UDI may be against, is the Serbian law :)

Lets hope for the best for once, give them the chance, this must be something new for them to both agree.

Do we really need any more wars, reality is teh Albanians need to live somwhere,so do the Serbians, give them the chance to move on and get their lives fixed and improved.
Gangsters and criminals should be punished and locked away,as for the independence that was premature, not legal and against the 1244,
Autonomy is the word, let Albanians have Autonomy wjile Serbs can have their own as well as Teritorial integrity and problem is solved, then maybe Europe can be the future for both.

If Albabanians get independence,we are looking at Jerusalem and Palestain scenario,if Serbs try to have another war and take over the teritory, then we are looking at WW3 and another ethnic cleansing where 2mil Albanians will end up in Macedonia, sanctions against Serbia and another 20 yrs of Hague tribunal.

Real solutions is to put both nations in factories and construction sites and work them really hard like here in the West so they are too tired to have the Wars.
God help us in Balkans!

He gives in for nothing. He has brought his pathetic self not one inch closer to the imaginary EU membership. Every Serb knows he has no influence or clout and "membership" is closed forever. The Serbs will not dismantle the barricades and KFOR will do nothing but complain to the temporary governments in Berlin, Brussels and Belgrade who will complain to each other because in the end no one is going to war over this new scrap of paper.

"Solution in line with national interests, president says"

Solution in line with Tadic's election interests, president says. No one cares about what the agreement said, everyone knows it like with 1244 or the 6-point plan, but no flags rule is ONLY in an office they are supposed to have in the middle ground. Serbia has its customs, Kosova it's own and then in the middle they will have an office where both sides operate.

What's important is that KFOR now has the moral right to remove barricades and arrest the things, since even Tadic agreed to the deal.

“With the solution for the administrative crossings, Belgrade has not succeeded in restoring the situation to what it was before the unilateral action by Kosovo forces, but managed to bring about a situation that is much better than it was several days ago,” Tadić noted.

In this case I must say that PM Thaci prevailed on his promise. I know Serb diaspora on this site will try to spin things their way, but the reality is as is. Somebody said yesterday that this is a big win for Serbia, and claiming that Serb border police will be placed in borders with Albania, Macedonia and Montenegro!!! I don't know where they got that idea , but who ever thinks that way is not in touch with reality.
