@Glenn,

You cannot simply go to the AUK and then recieve a diploma from the Rochester Institute of Technology, it doesn't work like that. They may have some cooperation for some stupid reason but to get a diploma from the RIT you have to study at the RIT.
(SCP UK, 23 November 2011 23:12)

"RIT degree that AUK students earn is recognized throughout the world. This enables them to expand their careers beyond Kosovo and the Region.

Academic programs offered at AUK are carefully tailored to fit first and foremost the needs of Kosovo, while at the same time offering a foundation for further education of students who want to expand their careers.

Our graduates can be found in every walk of life, being that in the private or public sectors. Since our graduates receive an RIT degree, upon graduation you will become a member of Alumni of over 100 thousand members all around the world."

from the AUK website: http://www.aukonline.org/degree.php

The reason that it works like this is because RIT started AUK (and AUK is a part of RIT), so when you study at AUK, as far as RIT is concerned, you are studying at RIT. Again, I am not talking to the quality of education (it might be pretty good at AUK, but I am pretty sure it is still better at RIT). I am just saying that if you graduate from AUK, you automatically receive a diploma from Rochester Institute of Technology.

If any Albanians think that they are going to employ themselves massively with their Mickey Mouse diplomas in Presevo and Bujanovac and take budget money from Serbia they are sorely mistaken!
We have the tools to prevent that abuse!(From setting quotas to government jobs etc.)

Again typical Albanian behaviour:
I don`t recognize the Serbian state but I recognize Serbian money.

"Actually, American University of Kosova issues diplomas from Rochester Institute of Technology, a rather prestigious university in America. Quite a bargain, since going to RIT costs about 5 times as much as going to AUK, and you receive the identical diploma (though not the same quality of education).
(Glenn, 23 November 2011 20:58) "

Really? I've never heard of RIT but I will take your word that it is "rather prestigious" ...... though I wouldn't be exactly pleased if I were a RIT grad back in Yankee Land knowing that my hard-earned degree is "identical" to those with lower quality education in some distant place!

I don't think diplomas from the University of Pristina or the "American University of Kosova" (how hilarious) are going to be recognised anywhere, I may as well take a piece of scrap paper and write my own diploma. What a waste of time that must be, better off with no diploma at all.

The negotiator on the Serb side should be from Kosovo, end of.
(SCP UK, 23 November 2011 12:37)

Maybe you are missing the point. These negotiations are over matters of interest between Serbia and Kosovo, not between Kosovo and north Kosovo.

Talks on what should happen in north Kosovo should only be with representatives from Kosovo and not Belgrade. But then again, I doubt the Serbs of north Kosovo are going to agree with that because then it means they are admitting that they are part of Kosovo and not Serbia.
So where do you go from here? Do you want to talk with the people who can make a difference or have someone else talk for you?

Serbs want to take out criminal charges against the political elite, including this awful negotiator.

I think they did that already. They said a few days ago that the next day they would have filed the criminal charges.

I think that makes sense since Belgrade does not control Kosovo Serbs. I assume that the negotiator should be chosen by all K. Serbs, not just the minority of them that lives in N. Kosovo.

When other states recognize their diplomas from Kosovo, those persons will even in a better position regarding emigration. Educated young Albanians who still have their whole life ahead are surely not happy to live in a mafia state without a future.

“We have heard that an agreement on recognition of the university diplomas has been made while there was no agreement on the other two issues and it is good for us Kosovo Serbs that the agreement was not made so as to mention Kosovo as an independent state, and that’s to turn the administrative crossings into borders which is unacceptable to all Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija,” he stressed.

I don't know if any of you have seen the University Diplomas, but rest assured that; writing of Kosova is on that paper.

I have seen it, both from University of Prishtina and AUK(American University of Kosova), and on both diplomas it identifies the name of the country. You are right K-USA, these K-Serbs are being duped by politicians in Belgrade.Just like in USA, if you get a diploma from University or even high school, it must state the name of the sate, such as; State of New York and so on....

Kind of reminds me of the joke around the time when a Kragujevac professor was caught selling diplomas: a bus driver making a stop in Kragujevac says:"we make a 15 minute stop for toilet, to have a refreshment or to buy a diploma".

Quite frankly the EU facilitator can pi** off if he believes that the Kosovo Serbs are satisfied with these pathetic negotiations. They are not, it is the Belgrade politicians who are, this is clear by the fact that the Kosovo Serbs want to take out criminal charges against the political elite, including this awful negotiator. The negotiator on the Serb side should be from Kosovo, end of. No progress will arise from these negotiations, no matter how much the EU tries to mediate them.

I am certain that Edita will attract attention no matter what cover she makes it on.
