SANU marks 170th anniversary

Serbia's oldest science institute Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts (SANU) marked its 170th anniversary by a ceremony in Belgrade on Saturday.

I'd be wondering why Serbia has a "Minister for Religion" and why the church is mixing around in politics.

I completely agree with you on that Danilo. Religion has no place in politics. But I always see church officials in a lot of political gatherings. I have no problem with them going as common citizens, but he was surrounded by politicians. He should stay in his brand new cathedral wearing golden necklaces and jewelry telling fairy tales and collecting money.

This is a celebration of an anniversary of a Serbian institution. I'm not so miffed at a priest being in the audience. He can be there just like anyone else.
