Vojvodina official: EU integration jeopardized

who cares about the EU its going broke and countries want out and if you want the EU mr. pastor move back to hungary and get involved there ... because serbs dont care about the EU its you that does so move out of serbia and it looks like the serbs in vojvodina is looking more than in 2002 whch back then was 65% and it showing like 80% serbs and you hungarians were 14% now it looks like 11% so see yea mr. pator. lol

Ištvan Pastor if you are so eager to join the EU you are free to move to Hungary. In the end it will be Hungary who stops Serbia from joining the EU by making demands not acceptable to serbs in Vojvodina and the rest of Serbia.

Yep, many of Vojvodina's Magyars already have Hungarian passports and are finding out through relatives (already in HU) that life in Hungary is all not what it is cranked up to be. The Magyars can't go off bleating to Belgrade when their lot worsens due to the inevitable slap in the face that is heading Tadic's way from Olli Rehn & Co. this side of Christmas. They have a choice, retain their powerbase and exert their influence in Belgrade from Novi Sad or get on the next train/bus out of town.

Thanks, we don't need him. But since he has now Hungarian passport, he can move to U.K., the jobs are there plenty. Like hospital caretaker, janitor, street cleaner.

And what if Serbia becomes a candidate? There are still many obstacles left. This candidacy is about the tenth hurdle Serbia is taking towards EU membership and it is amazing to see that some people still get excited about it.

You can ask Turkey: if the EU doesn't want you they will always find an excuse. I think it is very unlikely the EU will adopt Serbia before Bosnia. So I think the accent should be on competitiveness and getting trade agreements that don't carry the emotional burden of EU membership.
