I dont like many aspects of western consumerism,but i would love Serbia or any YU country to ' parrot' America or the west if it means that our nation would be that good in Technilogy,and we are getting there.Whats the other options,listening to church music all day or living in caves?But yeah on the other hand i do agree that some things are so superficial in that kind of culture,Still not everything from the west is garbage.

LOL Are you serious? You must be forgetting about all your Serbian cousins living out here in Australia, for example, all of whom have iPhones and iPads and the top mobile phones and lap-tops, all of whom spend their time on YouTube (listening and watching Serbian music, of course) and Facebook (speaking to each other in Serbian, of course), all of whom have some disposable income (we don't leach off of the government) and would like to spend it! What, you're jealous that we have purchasing power and you don't? Consumerism is NOT evil since it places the power of demand with the CONSUMER - if you don't want to buy something, you don't buy it, and if you want to, you know, ENJOY SOMETHING (which is the meaning of life, unless you can think of a better one... Like going to church, lawl) then you buy it for yourself!

Seriously, berating the West for their foreign policy problems is fine - I have no problem with that since it's legitimate. But denouncing TECHNOLOGY which is inherently positive for human development and human interaction and ease of living simply because it's from "the west"? God, you lot are miserable! I thought Serbs were fun-loving people!
