Brilliant analysis sj, as usual. We just need to make a greater effort of convincing millions of people that analysis is correct, and they are wrong and they should not immigrate to the West misery but to the Chinese paradise.

In that case, albanian, move to Turkey. Serbs are not related to Russians and that is in no way our homeland. Turkey is the Albanian homeland since you were an Ottoman tribe that came here for better life (like the Kurdish).

P.S. It is nice to see how albanians massivly visit this site,is there any one of yours that would allows us,Serbs, our oppinion? I must admit it to the B92 moderators you must have the nerves of titanium to tolerate some racist and anti-Serb comments here, congratz.

The Greater Albanian, leftover NAZI plan, needs to be stoped

I don't understand how you can be so ungrateful your own country Albania is given to you from curtosy of Serbs,Montenegrins and Greeks. Your minorities wich you use as racist and mafia weapons are openly recived intoo Yugoslavia and it's afterward countries and yet all you bring is destruction and war crimes unseen since the nazi era.

Brothers Serbs,we need to protect our land Kosovo including the people and the heritage. Albanians need to stop the Illyrian theory madness since they are prety much the only ones that DON'T have Illyrian genetics,in the Balcans. All the other people do have since the Slavs mixed with the locals here when they settled while Albania came much latter in the 16th-17th century.

You don't have a right to racist hatred,to change a nations history (to justify genocide and ethnic cleansing even more) so stop the paganism and join the civilisation,Albanians.

The only question left is: Is Islam the oresponsible behavior changer? They were calm under Enver Hodja, the communist,so it must be Islam?

This is what you get living in the US – backward people who think this is 1960. There are thousands of your Americans living and working in China today – in fact that number grows each year. If you look at Asia itself excluding Japan, there are several hundred thousand foreigners working and living in that region. And again this number increase with each year.

I’m in Australia for a couple of days and your great leader was here to promote some BS but in fact its well known that China has squeezed the US out of the South China Sea, but the Us is “stationing 2500 marines to contain China” – what a laugh, my 2 year old grand daughter could have come up with a better story.

Russia is well behind this number as is India or Brazil and it may take two decades to catch up. As a side interest Putin is ready to invest in Eurobonds provided they irion out a few minor issues.

“We need to ask B92 to redact that $7.50/hr so people don't see it - it's just too attractive”

This is what I am talking about when I say “.. is due to the good conversion rate”. People from that region cannot help themselves but convert that amount into their local currency and think this is a princely sum, but what does $7.50 an hour buy you in the land of the free? Not much unless you can work 24/7 without a break.

Now lets look at the fantastic life in the US, yesterday the US census Bureau released details of poverty in the US. Well they come up with 49 million living in poverty. The best comment was on CNNMoney where one said “its all a lie, where are these people? I look around and don’t see them” absolutely brilliant.

But prior to the GFC you had 47 million called the working poor and in 2008 the US Department of Agriculture issued a warning that 60 million Americans could only afford one meal a day. So why are thee statistics disconnected? Its because the real data information is worse such as the unemployment figures i.e. official 9.5 going down to 8.5 when we all know it 22%.

The UK government also released its economic data late last week and it has well over 1 million young people (between 14 and 24) unemployed.

I think more Russians would rather move to the Balkans, like in Montenegro, there is too many. I dont think there is a single European (not even Albanians)who would go to live in Russia. I would not go in a million years.

I agree only for some Serbs to go to Russia. My purpose is not clean Kosova from Serbs. My purpose is that these Serbs tell the Serbs that glorify the virtual Russia, what Russia really is. Lets exchange some information with the Diaspora of Serbs in EU that understand the difference between EU and Russia.
(dori tirana, 16 November 2011 20:39)

Russia has got Serb diaspora, they could tell their fellow Serbs from Serbia what Russia really is.

Possible ways of use of Russian emergancy center:
1) Drop humanitarian aid for Kserbs from helicopters in case they are blocked by KFOR or their alternative roads capacity isn't enough to provide food and other supply.
2) Encourage Albanins from Preshevo, etc. to behave

I guess KAlbanian started rebellion in 1998 in hope they would be invited to emmigrate to US/West with refugee status... They miscalculated, they were "liberated" and have to stay in Kosovo.

$7.50/hr ?.... sj, please, we were just trying to convince people to not immigrate to the US misery, and now you come out with this $7.50/hr that, if noticed, would encourage hundreds of million of people to immigrate to the US instead of the Russian, Chinese, Indian or Brazilian paradises.

We need to ask B92 to redact that $7.50/hr so people don't see it - it's just too attractive.

You may think that what is happening here is funny but it isn't. Being in North Mitrovica myself I can tell you that these people are serious. You find everywhere Putin, the Great pictures and stickers. These Serbs are still living in the time of the 'Cold War'. Being not from the region they asked me what I'm doing there. Suddenly a woman screamed: "Spies!" Then they asked me where I come from: USA, Germany, Stasi? The last remark made it clear to me by calling the old German Democratic Republic Secret Service. These people are living in the past and that's why they look for living under the Russian umbrella. Milosevic tried to keep a certain communist Yugoslavia together though his methods were despicable. For most of the Serbs in the 'North' he is the only hero and they don't see any wrongdoing in the recent past, though they must have seen some atrocities of which they think that they were justified. There they are living in their enclave and being pressed hard from all sides, even from the part they would think that they would protect them, Serbia. What else they can think of than looking for the only 'brother' they think to know well. In the great-Slavic way of thinking only Russia remains. For them it is not a big step to give up being a Serb to become a Russian. They don't think 'global' because thinking that way is threatening. The only sad thing is that also the Russian government and his representations are thinking 'global' and will use them as part of the game just as the others in the world. Who will wake them up and tell them that they will never come anywhere by the anachronistic way of thinking? The reality will be very hard to accept for them.

As geopolitical influence shifts eastwards, Russia is becoming more active in Serbian politics, that should be fairly clear.
(Zoran, 16 November 2011 19:53)

I think Rogozin disagrees with that... he said that Russia is in demographic crisis. How can the influence move to a country in crisis ?! That should be fairly clear !

In addition, we all know that Serbia is not a puppet state like, say, Kuwait.

I have been to Russia but I wouldnt live there in a million years. Nice country, lovely people with amazing historical and religious sites, not to mention the ladies ;). When I mentioned to a few Russian guys I met including a few army types that I was from Serbia, the were coming out with the Orthodox Brotherhood stuff but when I told them I was not an ethnic Serb and a Catholic, they looked at me with a mixture of puzzlement, amusement and curiousity but the vodka kept flowing. Anyway Serbs should stay here and work to improve our society and economy especially the Serbs in Kosovo. The last thing we need is a brain drain of our young and educated.

Zoran hit the nail on the head. Not many Serbs will move to Russia but will use their Russian passports to put pressure on Tadic, Hash and EU. All in all, a clever move by the K Serbs if they manage to pull it off.

For the Albanians who see Russia as an unpleasant place, I’m sure the US will open its doors to the 1.2 million albs who then can work for $7.50 per hour cleaning hotel rooms toilets, making beds from 8am to noon. Then they can jump on a bus and move onto the next job from 1pm to 6pm then on the bus again to clean office from 7pm to 10pm and doing this 6 days a week but never making enough money to pay for medical insurance let alone have a decent standard of living.

It called living the American dream or in laymen’s terms eating a s… sandwich and calling it jam. The only reason the relatives in the old country believe people with no skills migrating to the US have it good is due to the good conversion rate.

If you have not worked it out by now Dmitry Rogozin is enjoying watching the current Belgrade regime collapse. Read between the lines.

You see, he didn't say no, that is just his spin on things. He can say whatever he wants, for local or international consumption, so long as they get their citizenship.

However, when several thousand Russian citizens are threatened in KiM, just like in South Ossetia, Russia will be forced to act (but obviously not in the same way... yet). As geopolitical influence shifts eastwards, Russia is becoming more active in Serbian politics, that should be fairly clear. It has essentially reserved a place for both Serbia and Montenegro in its Euroasian economic area and is now offering citizenship. It has a base in Nis and many projects in the pipeline.

Do you think the US will offer the same to ethnic Albanians? That would be the quickest way to empty the province I think.
(Zoran, 16 November 2011 19:53)

Russia helped South Ossetia and Abkhazia because it borders those two regions, and because Georgia was part of Soviet Union. Russians have no will to go against NATO because of Serbs.

No matter if Serbs will accept the invitation or not. In any case it’s a big moral support for those sieged in KM and the mainland Serbia. Also it’s a signal to Mr.Tadic whom most Russians believe to be the Ambassador of the West to Serbia. And definitely it will make the current narco elites of KM feel unrest. Possibly it will move them take a more constructive position over the fate of the remaining Serbs.

One more thing. Though Serbia already enjoys the green lights in Russia but with a Russian passport you obtain new possibilities for business and job. No matter where you live de facto. Our government may quite PR itself with such a step. But as soon as they say “A” they will have to tell the whole alphabet cause one cannot be half pregnant. I mean in such developments Russia will have to increase all side support Serbia. If only SNS would come to power …

And why not KSerbs go to live to the the valleys inhabited by Albanians in Southern Serbia and Serb-Albanians are expelled to Kosovo?

No land exchange? Then, people exchange. And Serbia do not need the German/American consent to do so.

Because one thing some people forget is that just as there are Serbs living in Kosovo, there are Albanians living in Serbia. Do they have to migrate the Serbs in Kosovo? Why not also the Albanians in Serbia?

So if you want to be Russian citizens then you need to move to Russia, but then why go so far, you can just move a few kilometers north and be in Serbia where you already have citizenship.

I think that this is not what the Serbs were asking? They were hoping to be granted Russian citizenship while staying in Kosovo in hopes that Russia would rush in and "protect" them. In a round about way Russia is saying "it ain't happening folks" but you are welcome to move to Russia and become part of the Russian underclass. The new rich in Russia are needing domestics.
So if you want to be Russian citizens then you need to move to Russia, but then why go so far, you can just move a few kilometers north and be in Serbia where you already have citizenship.

It called living the American dream or in laymen’s terms eating a s… sandwich and calling it jam. The only reason the relatives in the old country believe people with no skills migrating to the US have it good is due to the good conversion rate.
