If Ireland was only partially recognised, would you oppose half a million being spent on on recognition and entering international organisations?

Kosovo is only spending half a million US dollars on lobbying. Kosovo is well in it's legal capacity to enter the World Health Organisation and this lobbying could end up in membership in the WHO. Kosovo would have more than half a million worth of funding, Kosovo could build many more hospitals than without membership instead of using the money for lobbying for international membership. Do you realise how much funding Kosovo could receive if Kosovo were members of many more international organisations? And Russia does not have a veto everywhere. Kosovo can enter another 14 UN organisations, where Russia doesn't have a veto on top of the IMF and WB. All of which will give Kosovo millions and millions more funding, for the things which you apparently care for. Now if you do apparently care for such things, do you agree it is worth spending half a million to achieve membership and funding in these organisations and to fund such things which you apparently care for?

Lobbying for international membership in organisation could give Kosovo funding for many more schools, hospitals, disabled/ special need specialist schools, universities, technical colleges, doctors, surgeons, scientists, artists, writers, lawyers, engineers, economists which you're ever so bothered about, as you obviously care about the welfare of the people of Kosovo. I say this is half a million well spent.

Why have half a million when you could have up to 100 million instead?

Oh wait a second, it's Kosovo having membership in the first place that concerns you. You do not care at all about hospitals, education, universities and technical colleges, doctors, scientists, artists, writers, lawyers, engineers, economists and surgeons etc in Kosovo. You don't care about the people at all! Hypocrite!

Ian,

Comparing the racist and mafiocratic state of Kosovo with the Republic of Ireland is laugable at best.

Finally it is not hypocritcal to pit out the self enrichment, corruption and misrule of the Pristina kleptocrats. Still, there is a sucker born every minute.

"What a waste of money. How many schools can be built for €5.7m? How many hospitals?"

Hum. Some may say that first we should make sure that the Serbs will not return and burn down again our schools and hospitals and then we can resume building them.

Of course, whatever Kosovo pays in Washington is dwarfed by what Serbia is paying to keep the ethnic-Serbs in Kosovo with false hopes. You know that people in Serbia too need hospitals and schools, need better services, jobs and a European future.

What a waste of money. How many schools can be built for €5.7m? How many hospitals? How many special needs assistants to provide education for handicapped or underpriviledged kids so that they are afforded equal opportunity to get a leg up in life. How many sports facilities can be built to provide for the next generation of Valon Behramis? How many universities and technical colleges can be upgraded to provide the next generation of doctors, scientists, artists, writers, lawyers, engineers, economists, surgeons etc. How many job training centres can be provided to help young men and women attain and upskill in order to provide them with jobs. How about putting some of that money into providing for decent public transport or provide capital for farmers to purchase machinery and stock so that they can improve output.

Another shocking example of how the Pristina mafiocratic-kleptocracy is riding rough shod over the same people that they are supposed to represent.

Two and a half years ago, the advertising agency was awarded a EUR 5.7mn-worth contract "to improve Kosovo's image abroad", but now the authorities in Priština are "dissatisfied with the campaign's overall results", says the article.

LOL like an addict spending money on more alcohol and drugs. Kosovo has a long history of being stupid with money and America has an even longer history of being gullible enough to give it to its "friends" :)

Besides lobbying for recognition, the contract is also aimed at "strengthening Kosovo's presence in all key world institutions, as well as enhancing Kosovo's image in certain circles", said the newspaper.

In the international circles of mafia, especially drug mafia, Kosovo has a very good image being the central drug hub in Europe where clans don't have to be afraid to be arrested by the police.

Such a waste of money for an "illegal entity". 3 years since after your so called UDI the result is Kosovo is still not a state. No UN and EU membership. still very much a province of Serbia. The Kosovo UDI is doomed to failure.

"KosovA" will need more than a PR makeover to change its image as an illegal narco state run by terrorists and gangsters.

Guys, as the saying goes, you can't polish a turd, so you can't improve the image of "Kosova" via marketing without the reality improving internally.

But as normal, funds coming from the US will have to be spent back on US companies. Very little goes back to the people who need it and for that reason, "Kosova" will remain a black hole and the stillborn entity that it is.
