well regardless of the amount of deaths since the end of the war (Nato and the u.s colonization of a part of serbia)... in the amount of crimes that have been unaccounted for and even before the war there was a major problem with crimes being unaccounted for... and it's always going to be a problem by the looks of things, because albanian culture lets it happen, for example there's been a lot of husbands that have taken their wives to kosovo to murder them and come back wifeless so they don't have their messy break ups in a western country where she takes the children... so the best way to preserve their culture in a western country is to make her dissapear, and the best place to do it is where things like that are accepted because thats how albanians operate...
so whats to stop them from turning a blind eye to them killing serbs if they're fine with turning a blind eye to killing their own wives? they've got a nice name for it... honor killings ... if they did it in their own western countries they wouldn't get away with it

1000 Serbs killed within one year and 10 000 Albanians killed within 6 months. I say we are still a bit behind.
(Nori, 11 November 2011 16:42)

Try you NATO friends, they bombed indiscriminately and did not care about anyone’s lives so go and wail on their doorstep.

20,000 Albanians were killed during the war. How many Serbs were arrested?
(A, 11 November 2011 17:02)

The numbers get bigger with the telling. Do you have their names embossed on the Potocari monument?

ida

There has also been a large amount of Roma/Gypsies killed since the war, and during as well. The Roma groups have said that some of their people killed by the KLA are listed as Albanians killed by Serbs (as many have Muslim names).
And this figure probably doesn't include those kidnapped after the war who haven't been confirmed dead (but most likely are).

B92, this article needs quotes from independent sources. At the very least, you should attempt to cobble together incidents whose tally comes close to the number your source has provided.

That's great then... according to sj's brilliant economic analysis, Kosovo and its allies are broke. The rich Serbia can easily afford the money needed for that purpose.

At the end of the war, the murder rate in Kosovo was 23 per 100,000 people, higher than that of Mexico. If the population over the past twelve years has been, say, two million, that means that 460 people are killed a year, and 5,520 has been killed in the twelve years since June 1999. 18.12% of people killed in this time have been Serbs, despite them comprising approximate 4% of the population...

Rule of law, my ass!

Subject to the comparison of the suffering from your part is a failure, with your number go and contact those who bombed Kosovo, and here is word on the free movement of civilians in peace time which only exists for albo in Kosovo and the rest of them has to disappear in the anarchy that has emerged on the surface after 60 yr.

Since some people here are comparing this with the number of murders during the war, why then not take into account number of serbs killed during the war, as well as number of non-albanians (and albanians) killed by KLA during 90's, as well as number of serbs expelled and killed since the world war II. If you do simplest math, you will see that albanians are not 'behind' serbs, but way 'ahead' in the number of killings.

The State Department "officially" claims that the number of civilian victims in the Kosovo war was 10,000. A conveniently nice, round number.

Unfortunately its completely exaggerated. Inflated by the U.S. government in order to justify their barbaric and illegal attack on the Serbian province that included the use of cluster bombs and depleted uranium.

Conveniently ignored by all Albanian posters is the official number of civilian war victims by (largely) unbiased, international organizations including:

* The International Red Cross = 3,368 (up from 2,047)
* The International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) = 2,788

These figures include victims from all ethnic groups.

More interestingly (since its shows the unheralded level of Western hypocrisy)...

Human Rights Watch found that during the 78-day bombing campaign, 500 Yugoslav civilians were killed by NATO in 90 separate incidents.

Additionally, Human Rights Watch confirmed that the use of cluster bombs in Yugoslavia by the U.S. and U.K. killed between 90 to 150 civilians in seven incidents.

Here's the ironic part...

Milosevic, along with four high ranking officuals, were indicted on May 24, 1999 for the murder of 340 Albanian civilians.

Now let me ask you Albanians something...who was held responsible for the death of those victims during the war? Or for the 1,000 (or 500 or however many you want to convince yourself) Serbs killed during time of peace?

For gods sakes, how many times can you guys get fooled by nationalistic propaganda. Use logic, and ask yourselves where shes drawn this insanely high number from. Thats right, she is not citing any evidence, and has is using your emotions to drive her political career. Thats what you have to do right, you have to quote five or six deaths that went unprosecuted and now she can throw the number 1000 without much worry, think.

All this being said, why bother with the EU when they are part of the problem? Those countries who are involved in 'policing' Kosovo have done nothing more than protect terrorists while maintaining they're hidden agenda. The world was so concerned when they learned of Khaddafi's hidden grave site which held over a thousand graves, they invaded and toppled the regime. Now in plain site, they know of 1000 Serbs who were killed AFTER the war and continue to be persecuted in their own home land. Will they do anything to help them? Doubtful.

B92, this article needs quotes from independent sources. At the very least, you should attempt to cobble together incidents whose tally comes close to the number your source has provided.

1000 Serbs killed within one year and 10 000 Albanians killed within 6 months. I say we are still a bit behind.

Try you NATO friends, they bombed indiscriminately and did not care about anyone’s lives so go and wail on their doorstep.

20,000 Albanians were killed during the war. How many Serbs were arrested?

The numbers get bigger with the telling. Do you have their names embossed on the Potocari monument?

well regardless of the amount of deaths since the end of the war (Nato and the u.s colonization of a part of serbia)... in the amount of crimes that have been unaccounted for and even before the war there was a major problem with crimes being unaccounted for... and it's always going to be a problem by the looks of things, because albanian culture lets it happen, for example there's been a lot of husbands that have taken their wives to kosovo to murder them and come back wifeless so they don't have their messy break ups in a western country where she takes the children... so the best way to preserve their culture in a western country is to make her dissapear, and the best place to do it is where things like that are accepted because thats how albanians operate...
so whats to stop them from turning a blind eye to them killing serbs if they're fine with turning a blind eye to killing their own wives? they've got a nice name for it... honor killings ... if they did it in their own western countries they wouldn't get away with it
