it's the European Council, not the Council of Europe...EUCO is the highest decision-making body within the EU, whereas CoE is a human rights based European platform...even b92 'journalists' should know the difference...

ne zahvaljujem na paznji...

Is this really a surprise to anyone?

If Serbia ever does get to join, it will have to "contribute" more than it "receives", being the last one into the already bankrupt pyramid scam called the EU.

Maybe someone should introduce you to Serbia. I do not think anyone anywhere is looking at Serbia as a contributor state in the near future. The concern may be about opening the door to one more non-contributing mouth to feed!

"According to a diplomatic source, France and Germany are the countries that are halting the process the most. "

Methinks:

1. Its enlargement fatigue, stupid.

2. And even more stupid for Serbia or anyone else to wanna join a sinking ship.

3. Most stupid of all -- EU wannabes who allow themselves to be milked politically by the insincere likes of London, Berlin and Paris. Actually Tadic, who wagered his re-election on making EU "progress" for Serbia, must be hoping his electorate really falls into this "most stupid" category!

The decision to postpone Serbian EU candidacy is more likely to do with Euro crises rather than Kosovo and Merkel's recent visit to Serbia.

There have been indications that the decision on Serbia’s EU candidacy will be postponed until further notice, the daily has reported.

I wonder WHY the delay!?

Serbian Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremić said he was hoping to get the candidate status in December but that nothing dramatic would happen if the decision was made two months later.

Is Vuk ready to explain to ordinary Serbs WHY the delay?
No guts, no glory Vucke.
