According to reports in French and Israeli media, French President Nicolas Sarkozy told his U.S. counterpart that he "could not stand" Benjamin Netanyahu.

How the heck can a country be a 'personal friend'? Without a doubt, Netanyahu is an extremist who isn't any good for the necessary peace negotiations in the middle east.
Apart from the fact that this is quite funny, it doesn't change anything in the political arena. The US and France will continue to back Israel in the Middle-East no matter what, afterall this is nothing but a personal attack, Sarkozy did once say that he saw Israel as a personal friend.
