"Also one huge fact that the Serbs keep omitting is though the west et al were quick to criticize the unnannounced moves of Pristina to place new customs agents at the gates. No one other than Serbs are calling it an illegal move. "
(an observation, 7 November 2011 22:32)

Of course for countries that think Kosovo is a legitimate state the move to place custom officers at the checkpoints is legal. The question is: Is Kosovo a state at all?

It is funny to see the Serb reaction. Usually these sneak peak of reports are a little misleading as the text has not been made available for anyone to contradict.

The ironic thing is UNMIK has said for 12 years now that the north must be brought under the same rule of law as the rest of Kosovo and that all of Kosovo is a single customs unit, but they never would enforce it, they hoped that EULEX would be the ones to finally do it, but no. Then when the Kosovo officials do it they agree that they had every right to but they should have coordinated it with the international presence.

@Bob do you really believe this? If this is true I’m amazed how capable the K Albanians are! They are the only citizens in the world that even with the limited rights and with a secondary status citizens make ethnic cleansing versus the privileged ethnic Serbs. If these theory it’s true Serbia is saved from the actual solution, because after some decades KAlbaninans , this very “dangerous” race will penetrate all Serbia with the same tactics they penetrated Kosova.
So think please if current solution is wrong.

I would suggest to correct that report, as the report must have been submitted by the UNMIK SRSG Farid Zarif

Ethnic cleansing in Kosovo was an activity of the Albanians long before Milosevic, so I agree about the rest - the current 'solution' is wrong.

Me can't help but to chuckle...

Pristina must stop there racist policies of ethnic extermination of Christian slavs from Kosovo. Talk about having egg on your face, Terror guru president of Tacistan surely now knows that his days are numbered, hence the attempts to escalate and internationalise the North in order to make a vague attempt at becoming the wests glory boy again... Who knows maybe we will see a Racak style massacre in the North, man those old serb grandmas can throw a mean punch.. though I doubt it..

He's the likely scenario, the Albanians have been pumping there chests behind there masters for a long time now, most observers believe that the Albanians believe in there own lies...

1) The North will stay in Serbia
2) Albanians will atttempt to scare the west in order to get the west to fight there battles, e,g we are going to start trouble hence start trouble in the Presevo valley. Here the Alabanians will get taught a Footballing lesson
3)The Albanians will try simular activities in Macedonia, though will not be successful.. lets face it, the Albanians can't take care of 50 000 Serbs let alone 1.5 Million Macedonian slavs and 7 million Bulgarian slavs... oh I forgot, Albanians will stage countless massacres..

Cut your loses and run my friends, you are starting a battle you certainly can not win..

Long live the Christian slavs of the Balkans!

Diana - I agree with you about everything apart from the comment about NATO morality. NATO intervened in the Balkans because of a perceived immorality in the Bosnian war because of the number of innocents that were being murdered.

I think that before you attack NATO about morality, you should think long and hard about why NATO initially took an interest in Bosnia - after three years of dithering and letting the locals degenerate into a very nasty war. The Kosovo intervention took place because the west (morally) thought that it could not allow a repeat of Bosnia in Kosovo. By then Milosevic had over-played his hand too many times and it looked like he was doing it again.

What a nice summary of the situation inn the multi-ethnic, democratic state of Kosovo.

"It is also my hope that the members of the Security Council will send a clear message to both Pristina and Belgrade to take responsibility for lessening tensions and preventing the recurrence of violence in northern Kosovo," he underscored.

That's my hope, too. And another hope is that, in the futute, KFOR prevents more violence in the north by stopping more unilateral actions ordered by Thaci only to increase the tension in the north.

There was an increase of 24 per cent in incidents affecting minority communities throughout Kosovo, with 151 incidents recorded, of which 38 occurred in the north, the report reads. The incidents included 13 cases of vandalism on Serbian Orthodox churches and cemeteries and 13 cases of stoning of vehicles with Serbian registration plates passing through Kosovo Albanian-populated areas.

There were also 63 reported cases of damage to unoccupied houses belonging to Kosovo Serbs, as well as 47 reported cases of burglaries of Kosovo Serb houses and thefts of Kosovo Serb property.
--
Wow and here we get Albanians on a daily basis making some claims about the "lawless north" but it is they, the "young Europeans" who are terrorising non-Albanians and involved in criminal activities throughout the province. This is further proof they have neither the decency, morality and maturity to rule over Serbians and other non-Albanians.

Furthermore, it is quite disgusting that these so-called "internationals" turn a blind eye to these criminal activities. If you ask me, they are partners in crime.

Finally, placing the blame where it belongs- at the illegal actions of Pristina. Pristina were probably hoping that they could start an incident that would involve Nato coming to their rescue and fight their battles for them as has happened in the past. Either Nato are getting wise and see the Albanians for what they are (unlikely, since Nato lacks morality and they have always known who they are dealing with, after all the KLA were identified as a terrorist organisation) or else they have finally realised the resolve of a tiny group of Serbs and realise that apart from further ethnically cleansing or killing them with live rounds of bullets, ( a high risk strategy with Russia and the world watching them) there is nothing Nato and their cronnies can do. I hope this report will result in the ambilical cord tightening ever strongly against this 'new born' monstrosity called kosova.
