If the US and Israel "have" to invade Iran (whatever their excuse is) I just hope they don't drag Britain in with them. I for one do not see Iran as a threat and I would like to see me taxes better spent instead of another costly war.

You may hope, but take into account that the Jewish lobby in Britain is today even stronger than that In USA.

If it does happen your lot will lead the charge – Sarkozy did it with Libya and now its Cameron’s turn.

Robert Baer said that it would be the ultimate act of stupidity for the US to start a war by attacking Iran as Iran has the capacity to really hurt the US and their interests in that region.
He also said that this is a war that the US could not control and “once the fire is lit, there is no way of putting it out”. But I say you can never discount stupidity and the Us ability to shoot one self in the foot as the US seems to be doing over the last two decades.
As far as Israel is concerned, it’s all talk because to attack Iran it would give that country a legitimate reason for retaliation.

Israeli President Shimon Peres is convinced that the U.S. and the world could soon take action against Iran, but that such decision has not been made yet.

U.S. officials are concerned that Israel will not warn them before taking military action against Iran's nuclear facilities, a senior U.S. military official said Friday.

The two statements above contradict each other.Peres is certain the US will attack Iran whereas the US thinks that Israel will attack Iran's nuclear facilities without any warning.I think Nothing of the above is going to happen.Any attack on Iran would ignite a regional Sunni-Shia sectarian war across the Gulf region and very probably the whole Arabian peninsula. Iran, as it's said before, will target oil facilities across the region and will shut down the Strait of Hormuz thus pushing oil prices to uncharted territory.

I think Peres is waffling.Iran is not Hamas in Gazza. One would recall similar threats made by the US against North Korea last year but as soon as North Korea's nuclear status became clear, talk of a military assault evaporated. This is why Iran is developing nuclear weapons.
