Serbia has not asked for war damage in WWI.
Serbia did not ask anything in WWII.
At the third meeting of Croatia expanded and took its territories that have never been Its also seeks damages outside of Zagreb. Just fine.

I agree that it would be best if the law suits were dropped but best for Croatia not Serbia.
Only this government would say something like this.
How much more proof is needed? What is it going to take to get rid of the government which does not support it's people but interests of EU?
I really feel for the people of Serbia. They believe in the EU paradise. They must be truly desperate.

Basically Serbia's admitting that the only reason they put forth the lawsuit was in retaliation. Not a good move. And remember, the whole Croatian case hinges on what happened in Vukovar--YNA tanks were rolling in directly from Serbia-this was not the case in Bosnia and Herzegovina, where only Bosnian Serbs were involved (albeit with Serbia's support, but still, didn't have an actual army coming from Serbia proper).

Lenard,

Maybe the Ottomans and the Ustasha did not plan at first mass murder/genocide on the Armenenians and the Serbs/Jews/Roma, respectively, but the did and that is why they were and are guilty. It is the action, not the words. The Nazi's planned and excecuted the termination of Jews and other non-Arian undesireables and that made them double guilty. There was no genocide committed on Croats and Kosovo Albanians during the various civil wars after the break-up of Yugoslavia. Stop wasting our time and insulting our intelligence by spewing your hate and lies. You have to do much better at a site like this. We know who you are and you have less than zero credibility.

Lenard,
They got echelon late 90's, the Serbs knew this and pranked ya all. Operation Horseshoe should have given it away. Echelon has caused more greif for Croatia than good just look into it(Tudgman trnscripts, Gotovina etc)just look into BIA ops. The Serbs should withdraw defend soley against Croatia's suit then after the result put in a Serb suit. This way in the interest of peace judgments would not wash the larger Croatian crimes.

"Good luck Croatia has thousands of hours of bugged conversations meetings of Serb politicians and the Serb military threw out the 1990's. Of their horrendous despicable evil planing that came to fruition on the ground not only in Croatia also Bosnia. After Croatia wins the case Bosnia can use it to reopen the case against Serbia. As the instigator planer aggressor of the war crimes of their criminal leadership that many Serbs hold up as their pathetic criminal heroes.

I would not have expected less from our "good neighbor" Lenard. IF these tapes actually exist(ed) then the problem for you and Croatia is that there was never a real genocide against the Croat people in the 1990's while it is overwhelmingly clear that there was a real genocide against the Serbs in WWII by the Independent State of Croatia and its fascist masters and allies. I am interested in action and not words and Croatian actions gave them tons of blood on their hands. The Serbian government will embarrass itself and the many innocent victims who died by dropping the genocide lawsuit against Croatia, especially is this was done under pressure to enter the sinking EU. Croatia will most likely not drop its false lawsuit and if Serbia drops it there is no way back.

Forget dropping the case against Croatia, press on, full ahead.
I want Croatia nailed for it's support of Nazi Germany, collaborators in Genocide. Today's croatian apple doesn't fall far from the tree, as today's croatia is draped in the same cloths, perhaps not as overt, yet the underlining tones from Zagreb, Split...is clealy aligned with it's fascits past. Try worming around that one Lenard.

why would it be best to drop charges for a nation that openly carried out genocide of the Serbian people in 1941, and forcefully expelled the Serbian population in 1995?
Sounds like a dirty rat. Serbia is being pressed to drop charges in the name of the SS EU.
Keep the train moving forward you cowards.
God Bless Serbia.
