USAID marks decade of activities in Serbia

More propoganda and lies from the yanks. US Aid is a political organization, who is controlled by the US congress and by the Secretary of State - their goal is to advance the foreign policy goals of the US.

Furthermore, a large portion of money that is given out is actually awarded to US contractors, which means it goes right back to US pockets while they can lie to the world that they are 'helping' others. The rest of the money? Well, let me put it this way.....how do you think that Cedo Jovanovic and his gang can afford their lavish lifestyles, 24/7 security, SUV's, large homes, expensive vacations...??

Aid... yeah right. What they do is they bomb a country to pieces, in which after they go back to that country offering them "aid", which is not free and adds up a huge amount of debt that Serbia has to pay back. The USA really is a disgraceful nation.

She said that the results of the cooperation were new investments worth USD 2.3 million, exports of Serbian goods to the amount of USD 377 million and USD 171 million given to small borrowers."

Huh???? Impressive????? How's this possible? Taking the article at face value -- the Yankees "invested" $663mn (over a long period of 10 years, mind you) and Serbia "benefitted", so it seems, to the tune of $550.3mn -- a negative return or net loss -- this is what she meant by impressive???? Seems to me little wonder then that the Yankees are in such financial sh*t these days http://www.federalbudget.com/

Also, the figures are only truly "impressive" if the recepients (ie. the Serbians) felt so enough to express their gratitude. But I'm not aware of any Serbian government official pronoucing this Yankee "aid" as "impressive", are you?

And what about the things she doesn't mention? Like interfering in political matters, regime change and attempting to push through an anti-Serbian US agenda. I think we all know what US "Aid" means to Serbia. We received plenty of their "humanitarian aid" during 1999 while USAID also financed Otpor.

Now that China is about to invest 2 billion into Serbia, it dwarfs any kind of "aid" the US provided over the past decade and should rebalance political pulling power.

Dragan, as much as you and many others would like to believe that Ceda and co. are financed from the U.S., there is absolutely no empirical proof to justify your paranoid claims. There are plenty of other illicit sources of money in Serbia. USAID may be incompetent, but none of it is coming from them.

If you want to watch a place that looked like 'bombed to pieces', you should have visited some looted villages in Bosnia, and not the few destroyed buildings/bridges/factories in Serbia.

IMO any money that America give or invest in Serbia is not appreciated & never will be.
