I agree with Bob, Tadic represents Serbia's best hope. Your other politicians are living in a dream world. Once Serbia gets Candidate status and eventually joins things will improve. This weekend I was visiting a local Garden centre in the UK and what did I see Christmas Spruce trees from Serbia. Even my Serbian friends were surprised but pleasantly because it means that Serbian goods are now reaching EU markets. I hope I see more ;-)

Serbia will elect conservative-national SNS to power and Nikolic or Vucic will become prime ministers!
They will initiate a huge tax cut for workers ,radical smalling down
of the size of government and they will crackdown on corruption!

They will stimulate the industrial sector in Serbia by various policies(setting up domestic banks who will provide cheap credits to production facilities,a restructure plan to get those many industries in Serbia which shut down going)and invest in infrastructure and education!

They will at the same time balance the budget and bring down the debt by cutting government spending dramatically, thus taking the trade and account deficits and inflation to zero!

And it will move towards joining the EuroAsian Customs Union proposed by Putin which will give it complete and unhindered access to a big market with absolutely no concessions in national interests!
That will make the EU certainly more cooperative in dealing with us instead of this blackmailing noww going on!

And above all,it will not budge on Serbias national interests,Kosovo will remain Serbia until Un1244 is still in force!

Tadic is better than anyone else on offer. There are lots of nationalist posters who live in dreamland, but pragmatically the best future is with the EU.

Nationalists like to think of the EU as a spent force -but don't you believe it. Economically the EU will continue to be a huge block, and the economic future of Serbia is inseparably linked to it. Tadic is a leader taking the country in the right direction. Nationalists seem to dream that Serbia can somehow 'win' by being nasty, angry and belligerent. That was the mistake that Milosevic made and dragged Serbia into pariah status and sanctions. I don't know why people whinge. Serbia is much better off than it was up under Milosevic and Tadic has made some progress in digging Serbia out of the mess the Milosevic era left behind at a time of difficult international economic pressures.

That said, there is not enough clearing out of corruption. The politician parties all need a few of their number in jail to make the point that the days of wallowing in the trough have come to an end. Then the rest of society may also get the message that the 'connection' is not such a good thing.

Let's comment to his words:

When asked to comment on certain calls to the citizens not to vote in the elections, Tadić said that “it would be a sort of protest that would not lead anywhere”.

NO, IT LEADS TO TADIC GETTING KICKED OUT.

“I can tell those citizens who call on others not to go to the elections that bitterness does not lead anywhere,” the president stressed.

BITTERNESS CAN BE SWEET WHEN TADIC IS OUT IN THE STREETS.

“If I weren’t the president of the republic, maybe I would be dissatisfied and embittered too,”

ITS GOOD TO BE KING, YOU PEASANTS

he noted and repeated that such actions would not solve anything. He added that he was well aware of the problems precisely because he could see the situation from his position.

HIS POSITION ON TOP OF A PILE OF AMERICAN MONEY AND LOOKING DOWN ON YOU

“My situation is different because from this perspective I can see things better and the severity of the problem,” the Serbian president pointed out and added that “even his closest relatives are not satisfied”.

EVEN HIS DOG HATES HIM

Tadić stressed that Serbia was facing big problems in the economy and administration as well as those with corruption and failed institutions.

THAT CORRUPT AND FAILED INSTITUTION IS HIS ADMINISTRATION

“Politicians need to come out before the citizens and ask for support for the measures they intend to take, but they also need to take responsibility,” he underscored.

HE WILL BE HELD RESPONSIBLE OVER KOSOVO

The president also warned that there “is no certain path to progress” and announced that the ruling coalition would present measures to overcome the crisis in the next five or six months.

WHAT HAVE THEY BEEN DOING THE LAST 3 YEARS, BESIDES ENRICHING THEMSELVES AND GIVING UP KOSOVO?

Of course george obviously Serbia would be much happier if Tadic left the country than it would be if economic growth was high, unemployment was low and corruption was stamped out.

What worries me is that when you say Serbia you are really talking about yourself. You should try not to dumb down politics, it is policy that is important, not personalities.

I like Tadic but he is sounding more and more clueless by the day. He is asking us to give up Kosovo for the EU, when everyone knows the EU as it is today will not exist when the time comes. It really feels like he is behind the curve. If we don't get candidate status in December, we should say thanks but no thanks.

Mr Tadic.

Do some good.

Make it impossible for whatever party gets elected to put its cronies into jobs.

You can do something more to improve things by stamping on corruption.

People are fed up with it.
