KFOR/NATO doesn't care about 1244 or anything else, NATO attacked Serbia WITHOUT any UN approval. Agreement about custom zone was signed (if it really was) under gun point.
(aaayyy, 29 October 2011 21:36)

That’s does not matter my friend – 1244 is still in force and it will be for a very long time. Under 1244 UNMIK regulates the law in Kosovo and UNMIK regulations of July 1999 say that customs taxes have to be collected (regardless of agreements or no-agreements which I have no idea about). So they will be collected because that is The Law.
----------

Albanian custom officers are sent to implement trade embargo.
(aaayyy, 29 October 2011 21:36)

Nope; who told you that ? Where did you see that ? Kosovo’s Customs employees of any ethnicity are there to collect the customs taxes decided by UNMIK in regulation 3 of 1999. If the documentation shows that the goods are made in Serbia, they will be allowed to enter Kosovo without paying any customs taxes as provided by CEFTA agreements (the same way that goods made in Kosovo, if any, are allowed to enter Serbia tax-free). If they are not made in CEFTA countries, they will pay the customs tax as decided by UNMIK.
----------

Only independent country has right to impose embargo,
(aaayyy, 29 October 2011 21:36)

This is not written anywhere my friend, and in any case it is a moot point; Kosovo and Serbia agreed already that they will recognize each-others customs stamps and goods made in Serbia or Kosovo will not pay customs taxes. So there is no embargo. The border crossings are open (there is just the inconvenience that the trucks have to climb the barricades of some people playing with logs in the roads linking Kosovo with Serbia).
----------

so supporting Prishtina's embargo on Serbian goods by EULEX is pure breaking of EULEX neurtal status.
(aaayyy, 29 October 2011 21:36)

That is false, as explained above. The only thing that EULEX is implementing is the collection of customs taxes decided by UNMIK for goods made in non-CEFTA countries.

KFOR takes order from the UNSC, and the UNSC has tasked KFOR to make sure that UNMIK regulations are implemented because UNMIK regulations are the law as provided by resolution 1244. Since UNMIK regulations say that customs taxes have to be collected in Kosovo, customs taxes will be collected. Not sure where you see in all of this the "break of 1244". 1244 is in force and is the law in Kosovo.

The Russians will never allow Serbia to join NATO
(sj, 28 October 2011 23:52)

Careful there my friend; Serbia is not a fake state, like, say, Kuwait that takes orders from US.
----------

and once NATO leaves Afghanistan its finished as the organization known by everyone today as it has been soundly DEFEATED.
(sj, 28 October 2011 23:52)

NATO will soon leave Afghanistan for sure since Bin-laden is resting in peace at the bottom of the ocean. Rest assured about that. NATO has no intention of forcing Afghans to live a better life; NATO just wanted to give them the opportunity. If they want to continue killing each-other or go back under the Talibans and like that style of life, they will be free to do so.
----------

Who do you think is giving the Serbs support in Kosovo over this customs issue? Santa Clause?
(sj, 28 October 2011 23:52)

Nobody. Customs taxes will be collected because UNMIK has decided so. End of the story.
----------

Secondly, if you have been live in the US or a cave here is the latest – the EU are begging the BRIC countries to buy Euro bonds to save the EU otherwise Europe goes down the rabbit hole. Russia and China will squeeze so many concessions from the EU it’s going to make their eyes water.
(sj, 28 October 2011 23:52)

Assuming what you are saying is correct (and, I'm sure it does because the accuracy of your news sources like your Malaysian friend is impressive), China will ask for an appropriate interest rate to match the risk, as every sensible investor will do. If China asks an interest rate higher than in the capital markets, than the bonds will be easily sold in the capital markets. No government in the world can go against the markets, my friend.

Read this very carefully and give it some thought so next time you will post something of interest.

“NATO”,

It was refreshing that you confirmed the suspicions many visitors of this site had and have and which were always described as “conspiracy theory syndrome”. You clear awareness of your Machiavelli-style behavior shows at least some self-reflection, but the sense of pride of being evil puts you into the psychopath category. Albanians in Kosovo are still under the impression that you liberated them from the Serbs and you have been very successful in making them believe that “Kosova” is a real country. Between you and me, we know that it is nothing more than an occupied NATO colony. As far as the Serbian army is concerned you seem to have forgotten that Serbia can still defend itself by guerilla warfare and we have seen how unsuccessful you have been against that in Afghanistan. You elected puppets will all be replaced after the next election and the new patriotic government will spare Serbia the total downfall by abandoning the EU path and by strengthening ties with Russia and other BRICS countries. You see, NATO has become an obsolete organization and its only goal is to maintain and create conflict to keep the US military industry alive. You future defeat in Afghanistan will be like a knee shot: you are still alive and you can still walk, but it will never be the same and others will try to shoot your other knee after which life gets really hard. Then one day somebody big or small will give you the final blow: a shot in the neck. The Serbian people will see in time that the greed, that is universal and you give yourself way too much credit by claiming that you planted that seed into Serbian hearts and minds, will lead to nowhere. I cannot imagine that Serbia will ever join your organization and send its sons to fight your imperialistic wars. I recommend that you start fighting against opponents of similar strength and then you will find out that most of your so-called strength is based on false confidence. Maybe individuals like Zoran cannot do anything about a big monster like NATO, but many Zorans and others can. Your sense of invincibility is a sign of decline followed by a certain downfall. You have lived beyond your means and even though you can make some money on the site by teaming up with criminals and the mafia eventually you greed for more and more advanced toys to terrorize parts of the world will catch up with you. I look forward to the day when your leaders will face a war crime tribunal and when your dirty laundry will be exposed. Then in the future you will be nothing but a bad memory.

"Did someone say NATO won the war?"

Dear Mr. Zoran,

This is a letter to let you know our progress in achieving our objectives regarding Serbia.
1. We successfully stripped Serbia of 15% of its territory to build the largest American base in the whole universe, Bondsteel.
2. We successfully demilitarized Serbia through pressure on its politicians. The Serbian army is now only a shadow of what it used to be.
3. We successfully transformed Serbian society to elect leaders that come in our countries to beg us to join our organizations. We are at the point where we tell them what to do and they pay us, through our lobbying firms, to convince us that what we tell them to do is correct and in their national interests.
4. We successfully implanted greed into Serbian society to make sure they will forever fight with each other, further weakening them.

Our goals for the future include completely enveloping Serbia with ties, regulations and duties so that its behavior and greed as a country, society and people becomes more stable, therefore more predictable and therefore profitable for us and none other than us. In practical terms, this means that Serbia will join NATO and the EU in the near future and embrace the principles of free movement, democracy, good neighbourly relations, etc etc etc.

Concluding, to answer your question, the war is still going on and Serbia, once a proud nation, has lost several battles and is reduced to putting logs on one lane of the streets in northern Kosovo. And that is good and that is how it is supposed to be.

Respectfully yours,
NATO

P.S. There is nothing you, Zoran, can do about it.
P.P.S. If you want to go to Kosovo, our suggestion is do not wait until January, it may be too late.

I understand that KFOR could not let the status quo continue. Glad noone has been hurt or that KFOR used live ammunition on defenceless civilians this time. No problem with freedom of movement for EULEX, just maintain a neutral status, in other words, no KPS at checkpoints. Unless KFOR is being instructed from Brussels to break 1244.

Zoran

"However, we will not exercise the right because it does not apply to EULEX, for which we cannot check whether the full freedom of movement exists," he noted.
--
Did someone say NATO won the war? LOL!!! Why then are they asking Serbians to give EULEX freedom of movement?

Exactly where does it say EULEX must be given freedom of movement? They have generally stayed within the Albanian sections since arrival so it is best that they stay there. If they can guarantee not to transport Albanians to the administrative crossings then perhaps we can extend that freedom of movement.

Milan

pre 12 godina

KFOR this morning sent resupply convoys(by road) to Jarinje and Brnjak bases and after that announced it will not use free movement agreed with Serbs in north Kosovo. They probably sent enough supply for a month .More blackmail is to be expected I guess from "neutral" KFOR.

Marius

So unless something was lost in translation, he's asking for a right to be given - not for a given right to be enforced. That's a good sign!

Unless KFOR is being instructed from Brussels to break 1244.
(Wally, 28 October 2011 17:32)

KFOR takes order from the UNSC, and the UNSC has tasked KFOR to make sure that UNMIK regulations are implemented because UNMIK regulations are the law as provided by resolution 1244. Since UNMIK regulations say that customs taxes have to be collected in Kosovo, customs taxes will be collected. Not sure where you see in all of this the "break of 1244". 1244 is in force and is the law in Kosovo.

Mate are you out of touch with reality of late October 2011. The Russians will never allow Serbia to join NATO and once NATO leaves Afghanistan its finished as the organization known by everyone today as it has been soundly DEFEATED. Who do you think is giving the Serbs support in Kosovo over this customs issue? Santa Clause?
Secondly, if you have been live in the US or a cave here is the latest – the EU are begging the BRIC countries to buy Euro bonds to save the EU otherwise Europe goes down the rabbit hole. Russia and China will squeeze so many concessions from the EU it’s going to make their eyes water.
Read this very carefully and give it some thought so next time you will post something of interest.

icj,
KFOR/NATO doesn't care about 1244 or anything else, NATO attacked Serbia WITHOUT any UN approval. Agreement about custom zone was signed (if it really was) under gun point.

Albanian custom officers are sent to implement trade embargo. Only independent country has right to impose embargo, so supporting Prishtina's embargo on Serbian goods by EULEX is pure breaking of EULEX neurtal status.

This is not written anywhere my friend, and in any case it is a moot point; Kosovo and Serbia agreed already that they will recognize each-others customs stamps and goods made in Serbia or Kosovo will not pay customs taxes. So there is no embargo. The border crossings are open (there is just the inconvenience that the trucks have to climb the barricades of some people playing with logs in the roads linking Kosovo with Serbia).

so supporting Prishtina's embargo on Serbian goods by EULEX is pure breaking of EULEX neurtal status.
(aaayyy, 29 October 2011 21:36)

That is false, as explained above. The only thing that EULEX is implementing is the collection of customs taxes decided by UNMIK for goods made in non-CEFTA countries.
