@Milan!

I have not read this book but even so seems a week source, and a weak theory. You are telling that a small group of people that lives in the hills makes what is today the third nation in Balcany Albanian.

I sugest you one sourse catholyc encyclopedia and I think that they know more than you and me.

@ I did not admit anything it's in the open that 99.9% of K-Albs are with UÇK, and yes traitors should watch their back just like in any other country.
(Mendo, 26 October 2011 14:40)

I am still assuming you are completey on the wrong track, my friend. If you are not and 99,9% of K-Albs were alongside with the (allegedly and in accordance with UN WSCR 1244 disbanded)UCK - well, in that case Europe should seal off oneself against some 1.5 million culprits. "Culprits" to use a moderate term.
You really seriously claim that your Kosova is such a nightmare?

How can you constantly be spreading propaganda that the North is all criminals bla bla controlled by Belgrade bla bla.. it's absolute rubbish.
(trizo, 26 October 2011 04:37)

Because Albanian propaganda needs to make a group of people that reject their sweet multiethnic democratic la la land to look like a bunch of criminals. God forbid Albanians start believing the reality that there's a lot of people that want nothing to do with them or their shoddy politics :)

So, you finally admit: who is not with the UCK (allegedly disbanded sic!) is a traitor and QUOTE "needs to watch his back now" END OF QUOTE. Which means Thaci and Co have established a regime of terror under the watchful eyes of the so-called "international community".
BTW From all what I can gather, all who are not loyal to the UCK warlords have not just to watch their back. In particular they have to watch their body organs...

Can you not see the people manning the barricades in freezing cold weather?

They are just normal peasant Serbs defending their land. There are a lot of women just standing around with Serbian flags.. do you honestly believe they are the henchmen of criminals?

C'mon Albanians at least use some common sense here.

There are so many legitimate accusations of criminal activity in Pristina on a far greater scale then anything that has been brought to the North.

If you honestly believe that the customs borders operation is to stop these 'HUGE' criminal Serb syndicates in the North then you are so wrong. If that is what KFOR/EULEX were so serious about they would stop the massive heroin trade & other black market goods from passing through Pristina (first) and then being sent OUT to other european nations.

(aaayyy, 25 October 2011 22:22)

I don't make assumptions like you do. So we, first, need to establish what silence means, i.e. "Yes" or "No" and, second, what is the question that was asked to other countries. After we have established that, we can come back to provide an answer for your very interesting question...

Here is some information for you. If the west could use force they would have done this a long time ago, but they can’t and that is why you Albanians are so frustrated. The Serbs will get what they want and its not too far from that agreement being reached.

I'ts so dificult for you to understand that Albanin comes from Ilirian, like Italian comes from Romans. I'ts so dificult to understand that if Romans has build Chuches overall Balcany this does not mean that this is a Roman (Italian) territory like Serbs that builds churches in Kosova(Dardania) or Macedonia this is not a Serb territory, but a territory ruled for some time by a Serb Kingdom. Tell me what you read in Greek books when did Albanians comes. They don't say nothing because when they come we were here.Dear Serbs stop reading Colonialist history.

Friendly message for those who wanted to change history today: per Greek books 1-st time albo visit Balkans in 1042 with George Maniac leader. Other name is Arnaut (means "they are not returned") com from Turks and they know your location wery well - today Azerbaijan. If I'm Arab I will play with letters: zer = L, shift N betwen a * i a new word will be = ALBANIJA (or old homeland). Albo in the Balkans just use old name, becouse if you are form Acient Dardani name of the contry will be Dardania not Albanija from Caspic Sea

Criminals in the northern part of Kosovo reject Pristina and now they are rejecting Belgrade. This creates the perfect opportunity for the internationals to step in and ensure freedom of movement and rule of law.

How comedic, who would have predicted that criminals don't like rule of law? >

I think your celebration is a little premature. You are celebrating a huge victory on a onesided decision. Maybe you should wait until you see Kfor response. It is extremely doubtful that these terms will be accepted. Kfor mandate is not to secure freedom of movement for themselves, it is for all citizens of Kosovo and international presence.
But the reaction to the disappointment of many "proSerb posters" will not be some massive massacre that you can use as a example of the plight of the Serbs in the north.

Take it easy Rambo. North Kosovo is part of Kosovo just like Kosovo is part of Serbia. They west is getting tired of albanians. No one wants to visit poor old Thaci and lately there has been little oposition in the west to the actions of Kosovo serbs. No one seems to care about "prisoncamp Kosova" now that America and its allies have enough dept to make even Albania seem rich. I'm even begining to think they actually support the actions of freedomfighting serbs. I hope these actions spread to the rest of Kosovo. I mean what kind of society has been created by albanians in Kosovo. Media in Europe is highlighting the huge problems facing this puppet territory. One year ago it was difficult to find any negative articles about Kosovo now media is full of them. I have always said that running a democratic society is not for everyone. Albanians should stick to what they do best: taking care of donkeys and smuggling drugs to Europe.

No, Kosovo custom officers are there to get the bribes for their own pockets (probably with a percentage going directly to Thaci's clan) instead to local Serb smugglers. @(winston, 25 October 2011 13:36)
Well, Winston, I believe everybody a bit familiar with the issue is supposed to know what the main problem is. The problem has a name and an address. The name is Thaci as the strongman of the regime occupying the institutions in Pristina and his residence is there. He stirred once again up trouble! As long as he and the other warlords are considered by the self-appointed international community - the usual suspects in NATO and EU - as partner in problem resolution, the process will go down the drain. The warlords cannot be part of the problem resolution, they embody the problem.
I do not believe in conspiracy theories. The warlords are increasingly bothering for the NATO and the EU. However, there are still some reasons that they do not want to drop these hot potatoes: Firstly, they do not want to enter into a debate, why they initially supported the warlords and bombed them into power. Secondly, they fear that the warlords might unleash their reckless UCK-gunmen (in Kosovo and beyond)- which would mean they would have to fight them - however, the general public of the NATO and EU countries would not accept casualities among their troops down there (This was the case 1999 as well and main reason that "the coaltion of the willing" in NATO used the UCK as ground troops of sort).

So EU and NATO are actually waiting that people in Kosovo finally break away from the notorious trouble makers and, most probably, big fishes of organised crime.

On the other hand, they fear after that it could get even worse: with the far-right movement climbing onto the driver seats of the institutions in troubled Kosovo.

To sum it up: NATO and EU - UNMIK initially with an UCK admirer and THaci friend as Head of Mission anyway - have created a complete mess and do not how how to find a way out. Anyway: there are "political problems" like KFOR-speaker Frank Martin termed it yesterday accurately - problems they cannot leave to KFOR to have them resolved.
What still is of importance: Only a return to the status before the current conflict was sparked - to the status ante - can be the basis for continuation of a process aimed on sustainable peace and stability in Kosovo - and the entire region. Apparently, people on the barricades are the only factor able to push this through. Therefore I am with them with my thoughts and from the depth of my heart.
How NATO and KFOR can get rid of the warlords soon after that is their problem. They have ""called upon those spirits", they have to deal with them. Good luck!

Good luck!

No, I was not exposed to a large extend of propaganda from Serbian side. The most interesting things I learned from Kosovo Albanians. One of them and friend of mine, who did not want to collaborate with UCK, disappeared withou leaving any trace from Prizren. Another one, Kosovo Albanian senior politician, as well refusing to collaborate with the ruthless war heroes AFTER THE WAR, had already more than 10 body guards when I saw him last time - not to protect him from Serbs, but from "The Snake´s" so called "judges"!
Yes, I believe you would like to faciliate "movement" for the people in the North - just not free movement as you claim, but forced movement like the mob orchestrated by the UCK "established" after UNMIK´s arrival arrival and under the watchful eyes of the so-called international community with the well-known peak of what you apparently understand as "movement" in 2004.

I don't make assumptions like you do. So we, first, need to establish what silence means, i.e. "Yes" or "No" and, second, what is the question that was asked to other countries. After we have established that, we can come back to provide an answer for your very interesting question...

Wow pretty interesting... I apologize with the administrators of the forum as this is totally unrelated to what the topic is, but I always find history fascinating...

@Milan!

I have not read this book but even so seems a week source, and a weak theory. You are telling that a small group of people that lives in the hills makes what is today the third nation in Balcany Albanian.

I sugest you one sourse catholyc encyclopedia and I think that they know more than you and me.
