What was killed in Srebrenica is a couple of hundred paramilitary that burnt and murder Serbs in surrounding villages but turned into a massacre to stop the war in Bosnia. The the western media took over and like good parrots keep on repeating it day in day out. Every mass grave uncovered is “another Srebrenica find” even though mass burial were the only form when at war to stop disease breaking out.
Why even the former Chief of Police in Srebrenica during the war, a Bosniak not a Serb, gave an interview about 10 months ago and he said that Ali Izetbegovic wanted 5000 of his people killed using only knives so as to force the Serbs to stop the war. I bet you never even heard or read of this man’s interview on the subject of Srebrenica in any western newspaper. All you hear is the same thing over and over again “the Serbs did it”. As Joseph Goebbels said “you yell a lie long enough and loud enough then it becomes the truth” You can tell your father-in-law he was right the first time.

sj, I think for the first time, your Malaysian friend failed you by not providing accurate information.

The Srebrenica massacre by the Serbs has already (more than 10 years ago) been determined to be genocide, beyond reasonable doubt, by the courts.

It appears your Malaysian friend is much more reliable with information about the future than the past !

The people of the west have been so dumbed down that they do not see or know anything beyond their noses. Pick up any US newspaper and see what passes off for so called good journalism or reporting on world affairs.
I have now lived and worked in Asia for 20 years and when I asked a couple of Americans (who worked for the US Government in these regions but retired and decided to stay) what they honestly thought of this Srebrenica business, they took a while to get back to me, but when they finally did the answer was and I quote “BS”.
These guys are not people that chased criminals but where involved in more shadier activities during their working life.
I then did some of my own investigations and what I saw just did not make sense then I found out that there were names on the Potocari monument of people still alive and living in Norway, Sweden and some as far away as Australia and New Zealand.
That monument has names of Bosnaik soldiers killed in action around Tusla and the last great offensive from Sarajevo.

sj,

You wrote: "You over estimate the west’s capacity to see anything".

You may very well be right on that. Therefore it's even more important to think of ways that help/force the west to see things. You must be very clever in this. And you must get the western media in too. But you must expect the first reaction being that the west negates the facts. Folks in the west aren't much different than the peoples in the Balkans.

For my father-in-law it took 15 years to accept the fact that Mladic had his troops have done something very ugly and dirty in Srebrenica.

"Why can't the majority of Serbs in the North have independence, which the majority of Albanians want in the rest of Kosovo? Why do Albanians want to rule over a people that do not want to be ruled by them?"

If the operating principle is that of self-determination, then some arrangements ought to be made about independence for Serb majority areas of north Kosovo. But then the right of self-determination for the rest of Kosovo, and for areas in Presevo, ought not to be disputed by Serbia.

So let me ask: are all Serbs now in favor of self-determination principle? Or is the Serbian principle that same old one (what we Serbs have belongs to us, but we can negotiate about other peoples' stuff).

Sadly the west is run by first class idiots and this is not an idle statement just look at the mess they have created up to date in the middle east, north Africa and Afghanistan and Kosovo.

I’m not advocating that Serbs take up violence with arms because that would be counter productive, but I can guarantee you that the west would use force, even deadly force if they thought they could. You see they would have to contend now with another force which is on the same level as NATO and these western nobodies only attack small and defenceless nations. I’d like to see the US try this on one of the major power players and see how far it gets with its superior weapons.

When I mentioned the French foreign legion, it was an incident that occurred on Saturday evening when several decide to cross over and dismantle the barricade from the other side. They got what they deserved and not a mention in the freedom loving western media.

You over estimate the west’s capacity to see anything.

Agim, the Serbs in N. KiM are fighting for their survival. Please be honest, because you know that Albanians would like nothing better than to cleanse the entirety of Kosovo of Serbs, as they have been attempting for many years. Why can't the majority of Serbs in the North have independence, which the majority of Albanians want in the rest of Kosovo? Why do Albanians want to rule over a people that do not want to be ruled by them? It will only result in constant conflict.

Right so basically this is laying the foundations of selling out the Kosovo Serbs once and for all, the idea that they must obey Belgrade so that their dirty politics isnt interupted, or if they disobey them then Belgrade will make their struggle harder. This reminds me what Milosevic did with the Krajina Serbs, in which he punished them every time they chose not to listen to him, until he sold them out thus allowing the Croats to conduct Oluja, or 'Operation Storm'. The Kosovo Serbs must learn from history that Belgrade politicians are so corrupt so they must stay strong in the face of traitors. Anyway who the hell is this Stefanovic? I never heard of him before he was appointed as negotiator, he is under the orders of Tadic and therefore not to be trusted. The negotiator should be a leading Kosovo Serb, who genuinely cares for his people and will not sell them out.

sj,

So called West is coming to second thoughts about the this whole mess but it's understandably a slow process. The best strategy is to give West the time it needs to reassess what's been done and what should be done.

So, dear sj, peak your head out of the closet and observe how it's getting clearer and clearer that the views of Serbs must be taken better into account. As this mess is not left totally on Albanians and Serbs to sort out alone one must think of a good and strategy and accordingly working tactics. What is needed is patience. And intelligence. Agim Kelmendi: "4 illegal mayors".

Maybe you should focus on your own illegal politicians who just happen also to be gangsters and terrorists who rule with fear, even amongst your own people. None of the mayors are "illegal", even though I dont know what you mean by that, and at least they are not wanted by Interpol like your overlord Thachi. What it means is that Stefanovic is no longer in control and that is not a good sign for him or his good friends in the west. That is what you are afraid of not that “"there will be no divisions between us, because in that case we would certainly all lose." If it’s so dire why negotiate just let the west take over???????? BS!!!
You want to sell out the Serbs there lock, stock and barrel otherwise no solid gold goodies for Tadic and friends.

To the Serbs there stay your course and keep your powder dry. Keep the barricades and stay peaceful but if necessary send them packing like you did those French Foreign Legionnaires.

send them packing contrary to what the UNSC has decided ?! You are suprising me sj; I thought all parties in Kosovo support the UNSC and resolution 1244 1

For my father-in-law it took 15 years to accept the fact that Mladic had his troops have done something very ugly and dirty in Srebrenica.

sj, I think for the first time, your Malaysian friend failed you by not providing accurate information.

The Srebrenica massacre by the Serbs has already (more than 10 years ago) been determined to be genocide, beyond reasonable doubt, by the courts.

It appears your Malaysian friend is much more reliable with information about the future than the past !
