You might want to watch your HTV once in a while and perhaps you will be enlightened. They have been running this story for a couple of days. In fact Croatia cannot even afford to replace their exiting fleet of aircraft let alone think about purchasing new ones.

Those ships rotting away in the Adriatic are the old rust buckets you people inherited from the old Yugoslavia.

Please no more tourism and how billions of Euros are flowing into Croatian coffers BS. Actual tourism numbers have not increased since 2006 when it was at a peak and since 2007 they have continued to decline. If you are going to tell me that Croatia is living well just from tourism then go and tell that to your grandmother. The rest of the world reports that tourism numbers have been declining, but we have Lenard tell everyone telling us how Croatia is succeeding in this area – wake up.

I see you here voices as well so here is another – take you medicine and wake up mate this is 2011 going into 2012 and not 1997.

Lenard perhaps you are a believer in a theocracy. Perhaps we should abolish laws completely and introduce some christian version of Sharia Law?

Nothing controversial you said, now you moved on from slamming Serbia to slamming Josipovic and slamming the EU.

Carry on supporting Kosor and HDZ though...

sj I'm touched your concern of the Croatian Armed Forces and of Croatia but what you describe perfectly is the Serbian forces without the ships. Where 90 % of the Serbian budget goes in to pensions and salary's and no money to modernize. Croatia signed a deal to purchase brand new Gripen fighters http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y-3MACYJ5AI . Tourism to Croatia was the best year ever over a million more tourist then last year and billions to the Croatian budget.

"According to him, the international community believes that the law is questioning Croatia’s commitment to persecute war criminals and that it is politically very harmful to Croatia."

That's what this law was all about, wasn't it? But what else do you expect from a party with a ruling prime minister who celebrates a convicted big war criminal (sentenced by the ICTY to 27 years in prison) instead of condemning his horrible crimes?

No, you get it wrong. It's more only about that socalled 'defenders' (other people call those war criminals 'freedom fighters') don't have the right to kill civilians (or, even worse, abduct them and remove their organs) without being unpunished.

The fact that the EU questions it. No, thats got nothing to do with it. This is some Greater Serbian / Communist plot! The EU is in no way democratic just only another dictatorial power on the rise trying to usurp power trying its best to crush the nation states and freedoms of the peoples. Josip is nothing but a atheist/humanist trying butt kiss this dictatorial power that will be more worse then Hitler Stalin. Mat 24:21 For then there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now--and never to be equaled again. Mat 24:22 If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive. In one hour the world economy will come crushing down this is all coming already set in play so near more then you can ever imagine or fathom.

Oh no Lenard as you were saying in the other thread there is absolutely nothing controversial about this law. The fact that the there are legal objections to it, the fact that it failed to achieve quorum before, the fact that only just over half of MP's voted for it, the fact that the EU questions it. No, thats got nothing to do with it. This is some Greater Serbian / Communist plot!

Agim dont forget to blame Serbia for bad weather.

Agim you might want to note that Josipovic is the Croatian President and I'm not aware that the Serbian government has made an official statement on the issue.

Don't let that get in the way of your bias against anything Serbian though.

Bam Bam you might want to forgive war criminals but I happen to think they should be held to account for what they did.

Let's make some small changes: NATO and the US think that they had/have the right to go to a foreign land and kill people, but have also the right to indite rightful defenders of their own land. I think this makes more sense to you Agim, right?

The problem with the Croats is that they don’t realize that the game is unraveling and that they have to hand over all that are on that list. Josipovic has on a number of occasions stated that there is no other way out.
Personally I hope that Croatia does not hand over these people and that way all trade begins to grind to a holt. But you see Croatia cannot afford for that to happen. Croatia is in such a poor financial position it can barely maintain its army and this is no joke. It takes months to repair broken equipment if at all. War ships are standing idle rotting in the Adriatic because there is no money to make repairs or even buy fuel.
As far as Blieburg is concerned please no crying as the Ustashi were executed by that well known Croat called Franjo Tudjman who Tito once described as his best pupil.

Mr. Jospiovic..let me explain something to you. This law will protect Croatian defenders and not go against them as you suggest. The quicker Croatia & Serbia stop sending so called warrants to each other to prove who was responsible for war crimes the better. Maybe Mr. Josipovic you should concentrate and investigate your efforts on your old commie mates who buried many Croats on Blieburg field...

Serbia is in state of denial, since Croats did not go to Serbia to wage a war, rather Serbia went to Croatia.
I get it, Serbia thinks that has/had the right to go to a foreign land and kill people, but have also the right to indite rightful defenders of their own land.

This law is irrelevant. If crimes against humanity have been committed, the ICC has supranational authority and Croatia's objections are worthless. I suspect that this is embarassing their german masters in Berlin and there has already been a number of phone calls. Croatia's accession to the EU can be stopped at any time as European Commission expert monitoring teams have to report the Croatia has not only adopted, but effectively implemented the EU's joke rule of law, the acquis communautaire. Mark my words, this law will be revoked soon.
