Recently there have been a lot of talks about real problems of Kosovo Serbs and their efforts to struggle for their rights in the part of Serbian territory that has been unilaterally seceded. But the other problems should not been overshadowed. The significant one and of paramount interest is the issue of juvenile citizens, of those ones being educated. Here are students, not self-indulgent kids with disruptive behavior, out-smarted as ever, with their requests downgraded and and often denied. They act in a law-abiding manner, rallying and protesting without resorting to violence, without overreactions.Their problems should not be sidestepped. Their claims can be easily substantiated. It is unacceptable that students’ enrollment into second year is as high as a thousand euros and more, given that majority of them come from low-income families.Besides, the sum they pay does not include books. The premises are often without heating, lectures are incomplete, books and copies are unavailable. I am looking forward to seeing interminable streams of students in streets daily as long as the ministry of education does not grant their requests.
