I'll tell you what Croatia can do for the good of Serbia. It can allow those hundreds of thousands of Serbs ethnically cleansed to return to their rightful homes or if they don't wish to return at the risk of harrassment, intimidation or death, offer restitution.

Who said it is "Serbia's purpose" to join the EU? The people of Serbia will not benefit from it. Only a small political class will make millions. Croatia and Serbia fought a war to get out of a union. Why are they both so eager to join a new similar union now?

What a balanced and realistic opinion! And what a contrast to Kosor who prefers to celebrate and greet war criminals and wants to annul all indictments against alleged Croat war criminals coming from the Serbian justice systems.

Though you overlooked the fact that Croatia was one of the most advanced regions of Yugoslavia and benefited from Tito's open policy towards the West and served as a prime resort location (Dalmatia) for thousands of tourists. I'd be careful about running towards your German "allies". They gave Dalmatia to Mussolini in WWII, remember? :)

That it ethnically cleansed over 100,000+ Croatians from their homes in Banja Luka Bosnia region by the violent minority Serbs of Bosnia. You cant have it both ways Croatians expelled murdered bared from their homes by the minority Serbs of Bosnia. From returning to their homes and I'm not even talking of the many others ethnic groups done the same to them in "Srpska" entity aka Greater Serbia. That Serbia supported in every way the aggression on the country of Bosnia and the unjust status quo of the frozen conflict. To this very day it should lean on their its proxy the minority Serbs of Bosnia but no it dose the very opposite. If Serbia is even serious of moving forward they have not shown it so far. Only very cheap window dressing with a few words of meaningless platitude you don't get well over 90% of the convicted war criminals being Serbs because of their "innocents". Platitude is a trite, meaningless, biased, or prosaic statement, often presented as if it were significant and original.

Yes, wrong. The balkans being 30 years behind the rest of Europe (and maybe 15 years behind of the former ecommunist eastern European countries) is a direct result of the stupid wars. In fact, Yugoslavia as a no-allied country could have had a much better starting position after the iron curtain fell than the former Warsaw Pact countries. Unfortunately, instead of peacefully splitting up (like for example Czechoslovakia did), they wasted their chance, and now you have the results.
