Speak for yourself! The EU are hypocrites and liars. By joining the EU NATO will acomplish what they failed to acomplish during the bombing campaign, namely to occupy and control Serbia. They are dictating to us today to betray our people in Kosovo. What will they ask of us once we join. Just say no to Europe.

MikeC is right in what he says, but unfortunately for those delusional Serbs like Stefan below it will be too late when they realise the catastrophic effects the EU will have for Serbia, politically and economically.

I must stress to Stefan that Europe is a continent, not a country or state. Serbia is in Europe, but so is Germany for example, but when we both call ourselves "European" instead of our true national identities we are effectively pretending we are the same thing, which we are most certainly not. We have to stop the destruction of our national identity, which in the UK for example has pretty much deminished thanks to the EU and other pathetic liberal doctrines.

Why is a bigger sinking liner (the EU) a better way forward than your own ship, Serbia? The EU is like the Titanic. The band keeps playing on as the liner inexorably disappears beneath the waves. All Merkel is trying to do is bail-out GERMAN BANKS until Greece...Spain...and Italy go under. Slovaks absolutely knew their money was going to Berlin to pay bondholders not Athens. The fact is...you'll never get into the EU before it implodes for good, so why give in to any more demands? Here's a clue: no one in Washington or on Wall Street or in Moscow or in London expects Brussels to even go two more years.
